Last weekend turned out to be a good one for me despite getting off to a shocking start on the Friday with an 0/3 strike rate. The comeback began on Saturday with an almost perfect return and then despite an angry loss in the Toulon v Benetton game on Sunday (I was on Toulon overs and they got a red card early) It was the biggest play of the weekend and the Newsletter Best Bet, La Rochelle minus (I added overs of course) that delivered the goods and it is nice to carry some momentum going into this weekend.
THE HANDICAP
I was joined by the Understaker aka @HanrickSwart on last night’s Rugby Betting Show and we covered URC quarter-finals, Super Rugby and of course the Currie Cup.

IN MUNSTER WE TRUST
There has been plenty of money for Munster ahead of their URC quarter against Glasgow – they started the week slight underdogs but have now firmed to narrow favourites and I think the money is spot on. Hanrick was also very strong on them last night.
Munster were impressive last time out getting a draw against the Sharks in Durban in a match which meant far more to the Sharks than it did to Munster. They now face a Glasgow side that has made the Challenge Cup final beating the Scarlets last week.
I see this as a positive for Munster for 2 reasons. Firstly although playing away they should be the fresher side and secondly Glasgow will surely have 1 eye on the final against Toulon. As I explained on last nights show I am not suggesting they wont be trying to win this but I think they may lack the intensity knowing what’s ahead and that could be enough for Munster to grab the win.
