wolves1819Two matches from the English Premier League plus an FA Cup semi final make up our football treble on Saturday 17th April with the odds boosted by @Olimp_SA

We were oh so close to landing a 12.00 treble last week with both teams scoring in Manchester City's game with Leeds and over 2.5 goals arriving in the Liverpool v Aston Villa game. We pinned our hopes on a draw in El Clasico but Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 with Barca hitting the bar with the last kick of the game.

We stick with the same weekly format for our treble which comprises of a match result selection plus one for over 2.5 goals and both teams to score and this week the odds have been boosted to 6.00 by @Olimp_SA

We start at St. James Park and Newcastle have halted their recent slide with 4 points in their last 2 matches, a 2-2 draw at home to Spurs followed by a 2-1 win at Burnley. That gives them 6 points worth of daylight over third bottom Fulham who have also played 1 game more. There is still work to do to avoid relegation but with 32 points in the bank they are closing in on safety.

West Ham continue to impress and a 3-2 home win over Leicester last week saw them finish the round in fourth place. Other recent results include a 3-2 win at Wolves and a 3-3 draw at Arsenal, a high scoring trend we would like to see continue here.

Newcastle might consider a draw a decent outcome but West Ham need maximum points to strengthen their hand in the race for a top 4 place and hopefully that will lead to a watchable game of 3 goals or more in total.

Selection: Over 2.5 goals

It's FA Cup semi final time with Wembley the venue and whoever wins this tie will be favourites to lift the trophy at the end of the season.

Chelsea progressed to the Champions League semi finals in midweek, despite losing 1-0 to Porto on the night they went through 2-1 on aggregate and they will face Real Madrid in the semi finals. Chelsea haven't been overly extended in their FA Cup run, most recently beating Sheffield United 2-0 in the quarter finals at Stamford Bridge whilst in the early rounds they were matched with sides from the EFL. Chelsea made it to the FA Cup final last season where they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal.

City also booked a Champions League semi finals in midweek, a 2-1 win at Dortmund saw them progress 4-2 on aggregate and they will face PSG in the semi's. They remain in the hunt for a quadruple haul of silverware with a League Cup final to come and a commanding lead at the top of the Premier League. City clinched their semi final place with a 2-0 win at Everton but they were beaten semi finalist's last season, losing 2-0 to Arsenal.

The teams have met once in the Premier League so far this season and City were 3-1 winners at Stamford Bridge in the new year. Under a new coach Chelsea are much tougher proposition these days but regardless of which team comes out on top we are looking for both sides to register a goal during regulation time.

Selection: Both teams to score (90 minutes)

Leg 3 Wolves v Sheffield United click here for all markets available for this match

If our treble is still alive after the first 2 legs then we are banking on Wolves to deliver in a Premier League home fixture against bottom of the table Sheffield United.

Wolves are in the bottom half of the standings but with 38 points they look as good as safe from the threat of relegation. They snapped a run of 5 games without a win when they beat Fulham 1-0 away from home last time out and if they can put a strong finish together they could end up in the top 10.

Sheffield United crashed 3-0 at home to Arsenal last weekend and they have lost 8 of their last 9. With the gap to fourth bottom Newcastle standing at 18 points it is just a matter of time before their relegation is confirmed and they have found the net just twice in their last 8 league games.

When the teams met in Sheffield early in the season Wolves were 2-0 winners. The visitors continue to be hit by injury problems but against a Sheffield side who have lost 13 of 15 road trips, one would imagine Wolves can take maximum points here.
