BettingDiaryWe take a look at 3 of the DSTV Premiership matches taking place this weekend and suggest a bet in each.

SATURDAY

STELLENBOSCH v KAIZER CHIEFS

The big news this week is that Kaizer Chiefs have parted way with Manager, Stuart Baxter and that despite the fact they are sitting 4th on the table.

The managerless Chiefs travel to Stellenbosch who are currently in 6th position and have only won 1 of their last 7 matches. Chiefs themselves are coming off a 1-0 home loss to SuperSport and a goalless home draw to Galaxy.

Stellenbosch are undefeated in their last 4 home games with 3 draws and a victory while Chiefs away form has been solid and they have taken 10 points from a possible 12 in their last 4 away matches. 33% of Stellenbosch home games had delivered you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals and exactly the same stat applies to Kaizer Chiefs away matches.

Stellenbosch edged Chiefs 1-0 on the road earlier in the season and last season both fixtures were drawn.

Stellenbosch 9/4

Draw 2/1

Kaizer Chiefs 15/10

Suggested Bet: Kaizer Chiefs win at 15/10

It is always hard to tell how a side will react to losing the manager, but if the players were unhappy we could see a bounce back here and Chiefs excellent recent away record continue.

MARUMO GALLANTS v SUPERSPORT UNITED

Marumo Gallants are currently sitting 11th on the table and they are without a win in their last 4 matches. Last time out they drew 1-1 at home to Swallows and their last 5 matches have had 2 goals or less in them.

SuperSport United are currently 8th on the log and got a much needed win away at Kaizer Chiefs last time out that broke a run of 4 matches without a victory and it was their 4th away victory in 13 matches this season.

8 of the 12 Marumo Gallants home matches have had less than 3 goals in them and SuperSport away matches have had a more even split between over and under 2.5 goals.

Marumo Gallants won this fixture 2-1 at SuperSport earlier in the season.

Marumo Gallants 2/1

Draw 2/1

SuperSport United 17/10

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 11/10

I am undecided on the match result here and I am going to go with both teams to find the net something that has occurred in 4 out of the last 5 SuperSport League matches.

SUNDAY

ROYAL AM v AMAZULU

Royal AM are flying high and currently 2nd on the log, 13 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. They are undefeated in their last 8 matches and drew 1-1 away at Cape Town City last time out. Their home form has been excellent with just 1 defeat and 2 draws in 12 matches and they have won their last 4 home games in a row.

AmaZulu are 7th on the table and climbing steadily after back-to-back victories at home to Maritzburg United and away at Baroka, both by one goal to nil margins.

Royal Am home matches have averaged 2 goals each with only 4 of the 12 games delivering you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals and AmaZulu away matches have averaged 2.1 goals each with only 3 of 12 games reaching the 3 goal mark.

These sides played to a goalless draw earlier in the season.

Royal Am 29/20

Draw 2/1

AmaZulu 95/40

Suggested Bet: Royal AM win at 29/20

Both sides are in good form, but Royal AM have been stand out for me this season and I am backing them to continue their consolidation of 2nd place with a 3 pointer here.
