WEDNESDAY

WATFORD v EVERTON

Watford are relegated after a disappointing season and they have lost 8 of their last 9 matches in the EPL, most recently going down 1-0 at Crystal Palace. Their home form has been awful with just 2 wins and a draw in 17 starts and they have scored just 16 goals at home in 17 matches while conceding 41.

Everton looked in grave danger of being relegated just a couple of matches ago, but they have had back-to-back victories to pull themselves up to 16th spot with a game in hand over the teams below them. That has taken their relegation price out to 12/1 and they will be looking to build on recent victories away at Leicester by 2-1 and at home to Chelsea by 1-0.

Everton’s away form has been nearly as bad as Watford’s home form with 2 wins and 3 draws in their 17 matches and they have scored 15 goals on the road while conceding 36.

12 of the 17 Watford home matches have seen you collect a profit backing over 2.5 goals and 11 of the 17 Everton games have reached the 3 goal mark.

One of Watford’s few highlights this season was the 5-2 away win over Everton in the reverse fixture, but Everton won this fixture 3-2 last season.

Watford 16/5

Draw 11/4

Everton 17/20

Suggested bet: Everton win at 17/20

I am very surprised to be getting this price on an Everton side that are still not safe from relegation and have been in good form playing against a Watford team that is already relegated and has a shocking home record. This runs as my best bet of the midweek action.

THURSDAY

TOTTENHAM v ARSENAL

Tottenham are 4th on the log, 4 points behind Arsenal in 4th with both teams having 3 matches to play. Tottenham got a well-deserved point away at Liverpool on Saturday. Their last home game was a 3-1 victory over Leicester. Tottenham have won 11 and drawn just 1 of their 17 home matches and they have won 4 of their last 5.

Arsenal are ending the season strong and have won 4 matches in a row, most recently beating Leeds 2-1 at home and their last away game was a 2-1 win at West Ham. Both teams have found the net and over 2.5 goals would have arrived in all 4 of Arsenal’s recent victories and on the road this season Arsenal have won 9, lost 7 and drawn just 1.

12 of the 17 Tottenham home games have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers and 10 of the 17 Arsenal matches have also rewarded overs punters.

Arsenal beat Tottenham 3-1 at home in the reverse fixture and last season Tottenham won this fixture 2-0. They have won 4 out of 5 of their last head-to-head home fixtures against the Gunners.

Tottenham 23/20

Draw 26/10

Arsenal 95/40

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 15/20

I have no strong feeling for the match result and I am going to settle on the goals markets and hope that the recent trend of Arsenal high scoring games continues.
