WEDNESDAY

CHELSEA v ARSENAL

The big London Derby takes centre stage on Wednesday night and Chelsea will be looking to continue their strong run of recent form which has seen them win 6 and lose 1 of their last 7 matches.

That last loss did come at home in their penultimate start against Brentford when they went down 4-1, but they probably had one eye on their Champions League clash against Real Madrid the following week. They bounced back to form last time out beating Southampton 6-0 on the road and that loss to Brentford at home was only their second at Stamford Bridge all season.

Arsenal are currently 6th on the table, but on a poor run which has seen them lose 4 of their last 5 starts and their last 3 in a row. They were beaten 1-0 away by Southampton in their last League start and have now lost 7 of 15 games on the road.

Both Chelsea home games and Arsenal away games have a fairly even split for punters that back over and under 2.5 goal markets.

Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 on the road earlier in the season, but Arsenal did win this fixture 1-0 last season.

Chelsea 9/10

Draw 26/10

Arsenal 33/10

Suggested Bet: Chelsea win at 9/10

I am going to keep this simple and think that an in form Chelsea side will have too much for an Arsenal team that appears to be heading in the wrong direction.

EVERTON v LEICESTER

Everton are sitting 17th just 3 points ahead of Burnley who are in the relegation zone. They got an all-important victory last time out beating Manchester United 1-0 at home. An interesting stat from Everton home matches is they have only drawn 1 of their 15 games with 7 victories and 7 defeats.

Leicester are 9th on the table and have been a bit hit and miss of late going down 2-1 away to Newcastle last time out, but prior to that beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at home. The stat that jumps out for Leicester matches is that both teams have found the back of the net in their last 4 games.

7 of 15 Everton home games have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers and these punters would have been far better rewarded backing overs in Leicester games on the road with 10 of the 15 matches reaching the 3 goal mark.

Everton 27/20

Draw 12/5

Leicester 21/10

Suggested Bet: Both Teams to Score, YES, at 8/11

I am expecting quite an entertaining affair and in the head-to-head form between these sides this bet would have arrived in 3 of the last 4 and prior to the 1-0 defeat of Manchester United, goals were flowing freely in Everton games.

THURSDAY

BURNLEY v SOUTHAMPTON

Burnley are currently 18th on the log and in desperate need of 3 points against a Southampton side sitting 12th. Burnley’s last game was a 1-1 draw at Manchester United, but their last home game was a 3-2 victory over Everton.

Southampton have been really inconsistent and beat Arsenal 1-0 at home last time out having lost 6-0 at home to Chelsea in the match before. Their last away game was a 1-1 draw at Leeds.

Burnley have only won 3 of 15 home games this season while Southampton have only won 3 of 15 away matches. Burnley home games have been low scoring with only 5 of the 15 matches delivering profits for over 2.5 goal backers where Southampton away games have seen a high 11 out of 15 reach the 3 goal mark.

These sides played to a 2-2 draw at Southampton earlier in the season.

Burnley 18/10

Draw 95/40

Southampton 31/20

Suggested Bet: Burnley win at 18/10

Burnley are a desperate side and play against a Southampton side that knows they are safe from relegation. I think Burnley can lift themselves at home here for a 3 pointer.
