BettingDiaryThere is no let-up in the English Premier League and there are 3 matches to look forward to on Monday. We take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

BRIGHTON v NEWCASTLE

Brighton sit 16th on the table and while extremely unlikely they could still be relegated mathematically. Their recent form has been poor with just 1 point taken from the last 9 they have played for and that came in an away match at Southampton last time out. They have had a tough run of fixtures though, their 2 home defeats were against Manchester City and Liverpool.

Newcastle are 13th on the table, 6 points ahead of Brighton and after a good run they have hit a really wobbly patch losing their last 3 and only taking 1 point from the last 12 they have played for. Their last 2 away games were a 2-1 defeat to Watford and a 5-0 loss to City.

These sides played out to a goalless draw earlier in the season and their last 5 head-to-head matches have had 2 goals or less in them.

Brighton 17/20

Draw 26/10

Newcastle 71/20

Suggested Bet: Brighton win at 17/20

Both these sides are in shaky form, but Brighton have had by far the toughest of the fixtures and at home I am backing them to put Newcastle away.

SHEFFIELD UNITED v EVERTON

Sheffield United are 8th on the table and are coming off a 2-0 away defeat at Leicester. Their recent home form has been impressive though and they have won 4 on the trot including wins over Chelsea and Tottenham.

Everton are 11th on the table and have only managed 2 draws and 2 defeats in their last 4 starts. Their last 2 away games were a 3-0 loss at Wolves and a 1-0 loss at Tottenham.

Sheffield United won this fixture 2-0 away from home earlier in the season.

Sheffield United 23/20

Draw 23/10

Everton 53/20

Suggested Bet: Sheffield United win at 23/20

Based on Sheffield United’s home form and Everton’s current lack lustre performances I think anything better than even money is worth a bet on Sheffield United.

WOLVES v CRYSTAL PALACE

Wolves are 6th on the table and it is very unlikely that they can improve position in the running. They are coming off a disappointing 1-1 draw away at Burnley where they conceded an injury time equaliser and their last 2 home games were a 3-0 win against Everton and a 2-0 loss to Arsenal.

Crystal Palace 2-0 loss at home to Manchester United now means they have now lost 6 matches on the trot and their last 3 away matches have seen defeats to Aston Villa, Leicester and Liverpool.

The sides played to a 1-1 draw earlier in the season and Palace edged this fixture last season 2-0.

Wolves 5/10

Draw 31/10

Crystal Palace 27/4

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Wolves (-1) at 29/20

Wolves will be looking to consolidate that 6th position of theirs and they are playing against a Crystal Palace side that is safe from relegation and is clearly already focused on next season.
