SATURDAY

NEWCASTLE V LIVERPOOL

Newcastle are on a great run of form and currently sit 9th on the log after 4 successive victories, most recently 3-0 at Norwich. Prior to that they had won 5 in a row at home.

Liverpool were involved in a tight tussle in midweek in the Champions League semi-finals eventually getting past Villarreal 2-0 at home.

They currently trail Manchester City by 1 point with 5 games to go and victory here is essential for Liverpool who have won 9 and drawn 1 of their last 10 matches. On the road this season they have only lost twice, but they did draw their last away game at Manchester City.

Liverpool beat Newcastle 3-1 at home in the reverse fixture.

Newcastle 13/2

Draw 4/1

Liverpool 4/10

Suggested Bet: Newcastle win at 13/2 or Newcastle (+0.5) goals at 2/1

I would love Liverpool to win the title, but I feel that their hectic schedule going to catch up with them at some point and running into an in form Newcastle side at home I just can’t resist the value on the hosts.

SUNDAY

EVERTON v CHELSEA

Everton are currently in the relegation zone having only had 2 wins in their last 10 starts. Last time out they were beaten 2-0 away at Liverpool and their last home game was a 1-1 draw with Leicester.

Chelsea are currently 3rd on the table having drawn 1-1 at Manchester United on Thursday night and they have only lost 2 of their last 10 matches in the League.

Everton’s recent home matches have been low scoring with the last 5 all delivering profits had you backed under 2.5 goals while there is a more even spread of overs and unders in Chelsea away matches.

These sides drew 1-1 at Chelsea earlier in the season.

Everton 15/4

Draw 11/4

Chelsea 8/10

Suggested Bet:   Under 2.5 goals at 5/6

Everton will be desperate to take something out of this game and I expect Chelsea to have tired legs after the Manchester United match. I can see a tight game and a 4th successive head-to-head fixture between the sides failing to reach the 3 goal mark.

WEST HAM v ARSENAL

West Ham are currently 7th on the table, but on a poor run that has seen them win only 1 of their last 5 matches. Last time out they lost 1-0 on the road to Chelsea and their last home game was a 1-1 draw with Burnley.

Arsenal are 4th on the table and broke a run of 3 successive losses with back-to-back victories away at Chelsea and at home to Manchester United.

West Ham home matches have averaged 3.1 goals each with 10 of the 17 games reaching the 3 goal mark. Looking at Arsenal’s stats on the road their away matches also averaged 3.1 goals with 9 of the 16 delivering profits for over 2.5 goal backers.

Arsenal beat West Ham 2-0 at home earlier this season and this fixture finished 3-3 last season.

West Ham 33/10

Draw 28/10

Arsenal 8/10

Suggested Bet: Arsenal win at 8/10

I was always toying with over 2.5 goals at a slightly higher price of 5/6 as it would have arrived in the last 2 meetings between the sides and I have a feeling the goals could flow. In the end though an in form Arsenal side look decent value to beat West Ham on the road.
