The first two Europa Quarter-Finals take place on Monday night and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.
INTER MILAN v BAYER LEVERKUSEN – Click here to bet
Inter beat Getafe 2-0 in midweek to book their spot in the last 8 and it wasn’t the most impressive performance by Inter, but they got the job done. They will be hungry for a Trophy after the disappointment of finishing just behind Juventus in the League.
Alexis Sanchez moved from Manchester United and has now been named permanent so look out for a possible start for him here.
Bayer Leverkusen saw off Rangers 4-1 on aggregate over two legs winning 1-0 at home last week to seal the tie.
These sides haven't met since the 2002/2003 Champions League when Inter won both matches.
Betting:
Inter Milan 21/20
Draw 51/20
Bayer Leverkusen 49/20
Suggested Bet: Inter Milan win at 21/20
Both of these sides make their first appearance in a quarter-final for many years and I just feel that Inter are playing better at the moment and can grab the win.
MANCHESTER UNITED v FC COPENHAGEN – Click here to bet
This match will be played at the neutral venue in Cologne, Germany.
Manchester United came from behind at Old Trafford last week to beat Lask 2-1, but they already had the job done following their away leg and won 7-1 on aggregate. Over 2.5 goal backers would have collected in 6 of Manchester United’s last 7 Europa League games.
FC Copenhagen had few problems seeing off Basaksehir 3-0 last week, having lost the first leg 1-0 on the road so they went through 3-1 on aggregate. Copenhagen will go into this match as underdogs, but they can take consolation from the fact that they started their last 2 ties as underdogs and managed to progress.
You have to go back to 2006 when these sides last met in the Champions League with Copenhagen winning 1-0 at home.
Betting:
Manchester United 1/4
Draw 5/1
FC Copenhagen 21/2
Suggested Bet: Manchester United Over 2.5 goals at 1/1
This bet is called “Totals Home Team” if you are looking for it and that is simply because Manchester United are listed first not that they are playing at home.
Copenhagen should give Manchester United some cheek, but United are in excellent form and have also been banging in goals for fun in Europe. I fancy them to get at least 3 here.
