Monday sees Bafana Bafana open their AFCON 2019 campaign against Ivory Coast whilst Copa America and Women’s World Cup football are also in focus. The Cricket World Cup continues and we also take in an early show for the Super Rugby semi finals.
Football: AFCON 2019
There are 3 matches in AFCON 2019 on Monday, the first of which is a Group D clash between South Africa and Ivory Coast which kicks off at 16:30.
This looks like a tough start for Bafana in a competitive group which also includes Morocco and Namibia. Ivory Coast were champions in 2015 but they had a poor finals in 2017 when they failed to get out of the group stage. South Africa’s qualifying campaign started with a bang when they won 2-0 in Nigeria but three subsequent draws took matters to the wire and a ticket to the finals was only secured with a victory away to Libya in the final group match.
Ivory Coast are favourites to win the game at 23/20 with the draw at 43/20 and Bafana can be backed at 53/20. There are a whole host of other markets to get involved in such as total match goals and first goalscorer where Percy Tau is priced at 25/4. Click here for all markets.
If you fancy a patriotic bet on South Africa to win the tournament then 27/1 are the current odds of reward. As for this game Stuart Baxter would probably be delighted with a draw and that could well be the way to go.
Later in the day Group E gets underway when Tunisia take on Angola before Mali start their campaign against Mauritania. This Mali side look capable of going deep in these finals and they are 15/20 to make a winning start.

More International Football
The group stage of Copa America, streamed live on World Sports Betting TV, is drawing to a close and at 01:00 on Tuesday morning the pick of the Group C matches sees defending champions Chile take on Uruguay. Chile top this quartet right now having won both their matches whilst Uruguay are unbeaten with 1 win and 1 draw. Both teams have scored 6 goals in their first 2 matches so it should be a good watch and slight preference is for Uruguay to edge it. Bet here on Chile v Uruguay
The Womens World Cup Round of 16 continues in France where USA ladies are 4/10 favourites to beat Spain and it would be no surprise if Sweden’s clash with Canada went the full distance.

Cricket World Cup
Monday’s action in the Cricket World Cup sees Bangladesh clash with Afghanistan. Bangladesh have been playing some good cricket and whilst Afghanistan are still looking for a win they did run India close at this venue at the weekend. We have a full match betting preview on this link and we pin our hopes on Hashmatullah Shahidi to top score for Afghanistan. Bet on Bangladesh v Afghanistan.
