REAL MADRID v CHELSEA
Real Madrid look poised to go through to the semi-finals after a 3-1 away victory over Chelsea in the first leg, prior to that they saw off PSG 3-2 on aggregate. Real Madrid had a shock home defeat early in their campaign against Sheriff Tiraspol, but since then they have beaten Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter and PSG. They are travelling well in the League and on the weekend beat Getafe 2-0 at home.
Chelsea were 11/10 favourites to win the first leg against Real Madrid and they turned in one of the more disappointing performances of the season. It leaves them with a massive hill to climb if they are going to qualify for the last 4. They had previously seen off Lille 4-1 on aggregate and they have only lost once on the road in Europe this season, but haven't had any victories that would give you any confidence in them coming back to win this tie. Chelsea bounced back to form in the League on the weekend beating Southampton 6-0 on the road.

Chelsea will come out firing in search of goals and I think they are going to leave themselves exposed at the back. Deep down they know their chances of going through are minimal and mentally I don’t think they are going to be in the space required to beat a Real Madrid side on the road.
Over 2.5 goals is trading at 8/10, but I can’t make up my mind in this game as to whether or not we will see the goals flow and will stick with the Madrid win play.
BAYERN MUNICH v VILLARREAL
Bayern Munich were stunned in the first leg going down 1-0 to Villarreal, a result that could be backed at over 4/1 prior to kick-off. They had few problems seeing off Salzburg in the last 16 winning the home leg 7-1 for an 8-2 aggregate victory.
Bayern won all 4 of their European home matches this season including beating Barcelona 3-0 and all 4 of their victories have been by 3 goals or more. Bayern Munich were businessmanlike on the weekend beating Augsburg 1-0 at home.
Villarreal’s recent run of form is very impressive with the win over Bayern Munich in the 1st leg, but they also saw off Juventus in the last 16 winning the away leg 3-0 then drawing 1-1 at home. Other notable victories away from home this season was a 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. Looking at their recent League form they drew 1-1 at home with Ath Bilbao on the weekend, but they have lost their last 2 away matches in the League
