BettingDiaryThe Champions League continues on Tuesday night and we take a look at 3 of the fixtures from a betting angle.

Let’s start with a look at the latest Outright Betting and we have Manchester City trading as 18/10 favourites ahead of Bayern Munich at 11/2, PSG are 7/1, Liverpool 17/2 and you can get 10/1 Real Madrid and 14/1 and better the balance.

Click here for latest Outright Markets including Group Winners and Top Goal Scorer where Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is trading as a 17/20 favourite.

Salzburg v Chelsea – Click here to bet

This is a Group E clash and is an important one as while Chelsea on 7 points and Salzburg on 6 are in 1st and 2nd, the teams below them AC Milan and Zagreb are tucked in behind on 4 points.

Salzburg are undefeated with 3 draws and a victory and last time out they drew 1-1 away at Zagreb. Their only home win was a 1-0 win over Zagreb, but their other home game was a 1-1 draw with AC Milan.

Chelsea have recovered from a slow start to win their last two matches, 2-0 away at AC Milan and 3-0 at home to Milan. When these sides met at Chelsea earlier in the competition the match finished 1-1.

A point would be a good result for Salzburg here and I am expecting them to adopt a fairly defensive approach, I think the draw is good value at 29/10, but my punt here is under 2.5 goals at 1/1, a result that would have arrived in all 4 of Salzburg’s matches and in 3 out of 4 Chelsea games in this competition.

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 1/1

Benfica v Juventus – Click here to bet

Benfica currently sits 2nd in Group H, level on points with leaders PSG and 5 points clear of 3rd place Juventus, who know this game is an absolute must win for them. Benfica came through the qualification stages and are unbeaten in the group stages, most recently drawing 1-1 at PSG. They are going well in the domestic League and beat Porto 1-0 on the road on the weekend.

Juventus were beaten 2-0 on the road by Maccabi Haifa last time out and they have lost 3 of 4 matches. They are picking up some decent League form and have won back-to-back games including a 4-0 home win over Empoli on the weekend.

Benfica beat Juventus 2-1 on the road in the first meeting between the sides. I don’t think Juventus has any choice, but to throw everything at Benfica and I think this could result in plenty of goals on the night.

Benfica for those who are interested are 1/1 to win the match, but I am taking a slightly shorter price that we get 3 goals or more.

Suggested bet: Over 2.5 goals at 17/20

Dortmund v Manchester City – Click here to bet

These sides are dominating Group G with City on 10 points from 4 matches and Dortmund in second place on 7, five points ahead of Sevilla in 3rd. Dortmund drew 1-1 at home to Sevilla in their last start having previously beaten them 4-1 on the road. Manchester City played to a goalless draw away at Copenhagen, a side they had hammered 5-0 at home.

Both sides are going well in their domestic League and when they met at Manchester City earlier in the Competition, City came out on top 2-1.

I can understand that Manchester City are favourites here, but at 5/8 for the win they are too short for me and I think the draw is a big runner here and Dortmund will be more than happy to settle for a point against the visitors and it certainly wouldn’t be a disaster for City either.

Suggested bet: The draw at 7/2
