CitizenBlogAs 2019 draws to a close, rugby punters will be taking close order as the Cape Town 7’s gets underway.

Betting on 7’s Rugby is very different from betting on the 15 man game with matches only lasting 14 minutes and very little time to get your bets on between games. This appeals to the bettor who likes non-stop action and 7’s betting is growing at a rapid rate.

On the Goodforthegame Forum we are fortunate to have some of the shrewdest 7’s punters around contributing with their fancies and last week in Dubai the guru of 7’s punters Ruggabugga was in sublime form as he tore into the bookmakers. If you followed his advice and still showed a loss then you are doing something very wrong.

His form was matched by the Blitzboks who crushed New Zealand in the final to win the first leg of the series and it is no surprise to see them trading at even money favourites to win on home turf.

New Zealand who look to have turned a corner are 28/10 second favourites and Fiji, who last week failed to make the quarter-finals will be looking to bounce back and are priced at 33/10.

The Blitzboks and Fiji are in the same group and they will both be hoping that the USA (33/1 to win) who are in the group with them don’t find last season’s form.

England are 7/1 and Australia who looked good in patches last week will have their supporters at 22/1.

Punters will be able to get involved in every match both before kick-off and in-running and it promises to serve up a feast of betting opportunities. Based on what I saw last week and following the opinions of Ruggabugga, Kenya look to be a side with improvement in them this season and while unlikely winners the 300/1 about their chances is surely too big?

This will be my final betting action of 2019 and I plan to put my feet up when the curtain comes down on the Cape Town 7’s and hopefully a decent profit would have been banked and perhaps the Blitzboks will be celebrating a second consecutive victory.

If you are new to betting there is no better time to open an account and get started and I guarantee it will add to your enjoyment of this event.
