Venue: Innisbrook Golf Club, Florida.
Dates: Thursday 16th – Sunday 19th March 2023

Tournament Preview

The Valspar Championship continues on the PGA Tour in 2023, having been absent from the calendar in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID 19. All of the biggest names in golf are once again present at one of the most picturesque venues on the PGA Tour and there is over $8.1 million available in the prize pot. With the Valspar Championship having been a flagship event on the tour for over 20 years, the list of previous winners is impressive with Jordan Spieth, Luke Donald and Paul Casey all having claimed the crown in previous seasons.

Betting Preview

Outright Winner

Plenty of the biggest names on the PGA Tour feature here in Florida and they will be keen to get their hands on some silverware here:-

Justin Thomas – 11/1

Justin Thomas has been in fine form all season on the PGA Tour and he is sure to be a front runner in a strong field this week in Florida.

Jordan Spieth – 12/1

Serial major winner Jordan Spieth is searching for his best form in 2023 but his game should be well suited to the conditions here at the Valspar, an event he has won before.

Matt Fitzpatrick – 16/1

US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick is constantly developing on the PGA Tour, and he starts as one of the men to beat here at the Valspar.

Justin Rose – 22/1

Having come back from the proverbial dead to win earlier in 2023 at the AT&T Pebble Beach, Justin Rose can never be discarded, and he looks in decent nick.

Tommy Fleetwood – 22/1

Englishman Tommy Fleetwood is a quality operator with no real form to speak of but he is capable of mixing it an enigmatic field here in Florida.

1st Round Leader

The whole field here in Florida will believe they can get off to a strong start and if they do so they could set themselves up for the week ahead:

Brian Harman – 40/1

American Brian Harman hasn’t enjoyed the best 2023 but his game is very versatile and he could be a candidate to get off to a fast start.

Victor Perez – 60/1

Frenchman Victor Perez doesn’t find himself on the PGA Tour too often and he will be eager to make a solid impression from the outset here.

Nate Lashley – 70/1

Nate Lashley showed up very well at the Players Championship last weekend and he will be desperate to keep that form going here in Florida.

Top Ten Finish

With so many quality players assembled here in Florida, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to finish in the top 10 come Sunday afternoon:-

Keegan Bradley – 5/2

Keegan Bradley has been on the search for form over the past 12 months or so, but conditions should certainly suit here in Florida.

Gary Woodland – 4/1

Former US Open champion Gary Woodland is another man who hasn’t been in good nick this term, but one good round could change that instantly.

Joel Dahmen – 6/1

Fan favourite Joel Dahmen can always turn it on at the bigger events and how he will be eager to finish in the top 10 here in Florida.
