RACE 1

IMHOTEP hails from the visiting Candice Bass-Robinson yard. He ran a fair race in his last start over 2000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The son of Vercingetorix is bred to enjoy the rise to 2400m. With luck in running, he can shed his maiden tag in this field.

WOLFRAM has good consistent form lines to his credit. He finished 1.25 lengths behind MILITARY MAN in his penultimate run. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

MILITARY MAN set the pace over 2200m on the polytrack last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Maldano. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. Muzi Yeni is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome the widest draw and he may be hard to peg back

RACE 2

BRIDGERTON has decent recent form lines to his name. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth in his last outing has come out and won since. He meets the right field this afternoon and from his good draw of three, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

WESTERN JACK ran a fair race in his comeback run over 1200m on the polytrack. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He should pose a threat with luck in running.

KITTY MO has shown signs of a form return in her last two starts. She is having her first run on the turf course and if suited, she should give the males a run for their money.

RACE 3

UBISIKA has produced two good second place finishes since winning his maiden over 1200m on this course. The manner in which he has been finishing off his races suggests that he should have no issues with the rise to 1400m at this stage of his career. He jumps from a handy draw of two and can return to winning ways.

GUNSMOKE produced good consistent form lines before given a 13-week break which would have done him the world of good. He has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. If not in need of the run, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

TRAVEL MASTER won a good race in his last start over 1200m on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He finished 1.55 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

RACE 4

SUN DAZED is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from thirteen starts over this distance. He takes a drop-in class and with luck in running, he can notch up his fifth-career victory.

SLINGS AND ARROWS was running on when second over 1600m on this course last time. He has won once, finished second once and third once from six starts over this C&D. He is versatile and is one of the leading contenders.

PRINCE VIHAAN was not disgraced when fourth in the Non-Black Type Founders Trophy last time. He is having his first run for the Montana Turner stable. The 5yo gelding drops in class and must be included in all bets.

Race 5

POMODORO MAGIC has good recent form lines to her credit. She stayed on when third in male company over 1000m last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She drops in class and back against her own sex, she should be the one to beat.

ELLA’S DELIGHT finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

EXECUTOR showed pace over 1000m on the polytrack last time, but found one too good in the form of Paris Lass. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

Race 6

TRIP TO BARBERTON showed good signs of a form return in her last start over 1900m on this course. She received a bump leaving the start, but raced from a handy position and stayed on to finish fourth. She is back against her own sex and with Muzi Yeni retaining the ride, she can notch up her second-career victory.

FOR ALL WE KNOW was unlucky not to have won her last start as she received a bump at the 100m mark. The manner in which she rallied in the closing stages was encouraging. She is in a good space and merits obvious inclusion.

BEAU KALA showed good improvement in her last start over 1400m on this course. She has won once and finished second twice from seven starts over this distance. Raymond Danielson may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

RACE 7

LUNA HALO took on a classy field in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that Beach Bomb has come out and won another Grade 1 since. The daughter of Fire Away is unbeaten from three starts on this course. She is unbeaten from five starts under Richard Fourie and from her good draw of four, she should keep that record intact.

GOLD POKER GAME ran a good race when fourth in the Grade 3 SplashOut Victress Stakes last time. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. If all went well with her travels, she should be competitive.

DEFINITELY MAYBE was an easy winner of her last start over this distance on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. With luck in running, she should give another good account of herself.

RACE 8

COASTAL PATH’S last start can be ignored as he was reported to be not striding out. His form prior to that outing was decent. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. If putting his best foot forward, he is capable of returning to winning ways in this field.

CAPTAIN TIK TOK won a good race in his last start over 1200m on this course. He showed good pace and kept finding all the way to the line. The son of Pomodoro should have no issues with the drop to 1000m. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

PUTINS PROMISE ran a fair race over 1200m on the Polytrack last time. He is having his first run for the Montana Turner stable. The 7yo gelding drops in class and can finish in the money
