RACE 1

The daughter of Canford Cliffs would have gained from the experience and she should love the rise to 1200m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should give the males a run for their money.

COOL CAT showed some improvement in his last start over 1400m on the Polytrack. It must be noted that Can’t Say No has come out and won again since. The blinkers seem to have done the trick. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

COWBOYS DON’T CRY showed signs of needing his debut effort over 1000m on this course. He should love the rise to 1200m and if not in need of this outing, he should finish in the placings.

RACE 2

CATCH YOUR BREATH showed very good improvement in her local debut effort over 1000m on this course. She was slow into stride but finished off her race strongly. The daughter of Canford Cliffs would have come on from the run and should love the extra furlong on offer. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and she may be the one to side with.

LADY LUCK hails from the visiting Andre Nel stable. She returns from another 18-week break. The daughter of Vercingetorix has plenty of scope and if not in need of the run, she should show good improvement.

BEST INTENTIONS should have won her last start over 1000m on the polytrack as the saddle slipped in running. The daughter of Rafeef has consistent form lines to her name and she must be included in all bets.

RACE 3

KING OF QUEEN should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be switched for running room at the 400m mark. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He gets the compression mask fitted for the first time which may do the trick. The son of What A Winter meets the right field and he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

CAPTAIN EFFICIENT has fair form lines to his name. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last outing has come out and won since. On best form shown, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. On her previous form, she should earn another cheque for her patrons.

RACE 4

AXL is better than his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He has won over this distance previously. On his previous form and if all went well with his travels, he can notch up his fourth- career victory.

SIBERIAN STEEL is having his first run for the Alan Greeff stable. He has won three times, finished second three times and third once from 12 starts over this distance. If settled into his new surroundings, he should be involved at the finish.

TEATRO is better than his last start over 1200m on the Polytrack. He has finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. He will enjoy the return to Handicap Company and must be included in all bets.

Race 5

LADY WRITER was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1900m on the polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The blinkers have done the trick on the daughter of Twice Over. She has won once, finished second once and third four times from eight starts on this course. She jumps from pole position and can follow up.

OUTER DIMENSION was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over this distance on the Polytrack last time. She does take on stronger, but she has found a new lease of life in the Eastern Cape and should be up to the task at hand.

AS FATE HAS IT won a good race in her last start over 1400m on this course. She returns from a well-deserved 18-week break. If not in need of this outing, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 6

CHERRY ANO showed great guts and determination when winning his last start over 1600m on this course. He is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. The son of Capetown Noir is in a good space and he can notch up the hat-trick.

BUSH TRACKER finished 3.85 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He jumps from a good draw of four and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

INHERIT THE RAIN was running on when third over 1200m on the Polytrack last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. If getting away to a clean start from pole position, he should be involved at the finish.

RACE 7

THREE ROCKS is a winner of her last two starts. She showed good pace last time, found another kick and won going away. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won twice and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie retains the ride and she should take a power of beating.

CANDY TOWN should have won her last start as she shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. The daughter of Querari has ability and if all went well with her travels, she should be hard to peg back at the finish.

MYTHICAL DREAM was running on when fourth over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last time. This is her first run for the Gavin Smith stable. Gavin Lerena makes the trip down to the Eastern Cape and the pair merit obvious inclusion.

RACE 8

THE LADY LOVE finished 2.5 lengths behind KILMONIVAIG last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. If getting away to a clean start, she can return to winning ways.

KILMONIVAIG won a good race in her last start over this C&D. She received a six-pound penalty for that victory. She meets similar company this afternoon and merits healthy respect.

JADE’S CABERNEIGH was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1000m on the Polytrack. She is a filly that does not like the stick. She finished 1.25 lengths behind the second choice in her penultimate run. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result
