RACE 1

GRADUATION TIME raced from a handy position over 1400m on the polytrack last time and stayed on to finish second. He should have won his penultimate start over this distanc

e as he was held up for a run at the 400m mark. He is having his first run on this course and if suited, he can shed his maiden tag. Trainer Kelly Mitchley holds a strong hand in this contest and FIRE CHASER is the stable elect with Muzi Yeni in the saddle. She is better than her last start over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. Her best career effort has come on this course and she should give the males a run for their money.

MIRACULOUS MAN made the trip to the Western Cape last time and did not shape. He has finished second twice and third once from as many starts on this course. The blinkers have been re-fitted and he must be included in all bets.

RACE 2

THREE ROCKS is a winner of her last four starts. She was slow into stride over 1200m last time, but quickened up well and won going away. She has won three times and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. The daughter of Heavenly Blue is above average and she should win again.

PARIS LASS ran a fair race in her post-maiden effort over this distance on the Polytrack. She returns from a 17-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She carries a nice mass of 53.5kgs and if fit, she should have a say.

 RIGHTS should have finished closer to the winner last time as she shifted away from the crop and hung in the closing stages. She has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this C&D. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Kobeli Lihaba which will help her chances.

RACE 3

ILHA DA MAURICIA raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Pinnacle. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She takes a drop-in class and with a bit of luck in running, she can notch up her second career victory.

MY AMI BEACH stayed on when second over 1200m on the Polytrack last time. She finished 0.55 lengths behind the top choice, three runs ago. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

FOR ALL WE KNOW‘S last three starts have been decent. She has won once and finished third three times from five starts on this course. She jumps from pole position and must be included in all bets.

RACE 4

ROSE OF BAYEUX is a winner of her last two starts over this distance, on the Polytrack. She returns from a well-deserved 10-week break. She finished 0.25 lengths behind LADY MISTICO, three runs ago. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won three times, finished second twice and third twice from nine starts over this C&D. If fit, she can notch up the hat-trick.

LADY MISTICO won her last two starts before given a 16-week break. She has won once and finished third twice from four starts over this distance. She is likely to race on the speed from her handy draw of two and may be hard to peg back. C

RACE 5

This is a competitive Merit Rated 96 Handicap and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is BLACKBERRY MALT from the visiting Glen Kotzen stable. He was running on when fourth over this trip at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The 4yo gelding finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. He is having his peak run today and if this outing has not come too soon, he can return to winning ways.

NARCOS has good consistent form lines to his name. He has won twice and finished third twice from eight starts over this distance. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

BRENDEN JAMES finished 2.25 lengths behind PRINCE VIHAAN last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

Race 6

FLOWER OF SAIGON stayed on when third in the Listed Hollywoodbets Settlers Trophy last time. It must be noted that Senso Unico has come out and won again since. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts on this course. She is back against her own sex and despite her big mass of 62kgs, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

DEFINITELY MAYBE got up late when winning her last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. She finished 1.25 lengths behind DAME OF FLAMES in her penultimate run. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

DAME OF FLAMES won a good race in her last start over 2000m on this course. She tries the 2400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should be involved in the fight to the finish.

RACE 7

HAN SOLO won this race last year and he has a very good chance of retaining his title. He was running on when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

TRIPLE TIME should have won the Listed Hollywoodbets Settlers Trophy as he had to be switched for running room at the 300m mark. He will enjoy the long run-in and if all went well with his travels, he should pose a threat.

GRAZINGINTHEGRASS should be the first local horse past the post. He is a winner of his last six starts off this rating. Four of his thirteen victories have come on this course. He always gives of his best and merits healthy respect.

RACE 8

CRUISE CONTROL was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1000m on the Polytrack. He returns from an 18-week break which would have done him the world of good. Word from the yard is that he is working well heading into this contest. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Kobeli Lihaba which will help his cause. If not in need of this outing, he should be hard to peg back.

CLIFF TOP held on where it matters most to win the Non-Black Type Cradock Place Stakes. He finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice, three runs ago. He is 4kgs worse off at the weights today. He has race fitness on his side and merits healthy respect.

KHAYA’S HOPE returns from a 13-week break. He has won once, finished second once and third three times from as many starts over this C&D. He is a horse with ability and if not in need of the run, he can show.

RACE 9

PATH OF CHOICE set the pace over 1400m on the Polytrack last time and held on to notch up his sixth- career victory. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has won over the mile in the past and if all goes according to plan, he can follow up.

PHANTOMOFTHEFOREST finished 1.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

HUMBLE TUNE finished 3 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result
