THE VOW was a tad disappointing in her last start over nine furlongs. She has finished third twice from as many starts over this c&d. The daughter of Oratorio would have strengthened up during her time off the track and if not in need of this run, should be the one to beat here.

HALLIBERRY came from a long way back when finishing 4th over a mile on this course last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will enjoy the extra furlong on offer this afternoon. She should strip a much fitter horse and should be take a power of beating.
VALUE BET FOR TODAY
Race 8: EARL OF WARWICK (10)
Jockey: Winnaar M - Trainer: Kotzen G
EARL OF WARWICK is the value bet on this afternoon's card. He finished 3.55 lengths behind WINTER SHADOW in his last start and is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today. That may not be enough to turn the tables today, but his jockey dropped his crop at the 200m mark last time and he should have finished closer. The drop in trip should not pose an issue as he has won over nine furlongs in the past.
