EMPRESSOFNORMANDY has improved in her last two starts. If not too far out of her ground at the halfway mark, she can give the males a run for their money.
Race 3
WORK OF TIME should have finished closer on debut as she received a bump leaving the start and had to be steadied at the 800m mark. She returns from a 29-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. S’manga Khumalo is booked to ride and if not in need of the run, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
ENCHANTING LADY showed good improvement in her last start over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. The daughter of William Longsword will love the rise to 1160m and she is one of the leading contenders.
DHOW SOLO has run three decent races to date. She was reported to be not striding out over 1000m last time. This is her peak run and with Calvin Habib back in the saddle, she should fight out the finish.
Race 4
Trainer Candice Dawson holds a strong hand in this contest and she can saddle the first two past the post. DARLING HARBOUR showed good improvement in her last start over 2000m at the Vaal. She over raced in the early stages of that contest and will enjoy the drop to the mile. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and with luck in running, she may be the one to beat.

Race 10
DAMOSTAR is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over this distance on the Inside course. She returns from a well-deserved 10-week break which would have done her the world of good. She is the best weighted runner and if not in need of the run, she can notch up the hat-trick.
RED MAPLE was in need of her last start over 1800m. She has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this distance. She should strip much fitter and may pose a threat.
