Dortmund 11/4 Draw 31/10 Barcelona 0.82/1
Barca look to have put this tie to bed after winning the home leg 4-0 last week. Raphinha had them 1-0 up at half time and he provided second half assists, one of a brace for Lewandowski and another for Lamal. Dortmund arguably could have conceded more than 4 and they now need a miracle.
The German side were made to work hard to book their quarter final ticket drawing the first leg of their match up with Lille 1-1 on home turf and they conceded first in the return before turning things around to win 2-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.
Dortmund finished tenth in the league phase with 5 wins and 3 defeats. In the play offs a 3-0 win away to Sporting put them in complete control and the second leg in front of their own supporters finished without a goal.
Dortmund drew 2-2 away to Bayern in the Bundesliga at the weekend are only eighth in the Bundesliga, 6 points off a top 4 place.
Barcelona saw off Benfica in the Ro16, coming through 4-1 on aggregate after winning the first leg in Lisbon 1-0 and the return 3-1. Barca finished as runners up to Liverpool in the league phase with a record of 6 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. They lost their first match away to Monaco before reeling off 6 straight wins and a 2-2 draw at home to Atalanta.
Barca won 1-0 away to Leganes at the weekend to maintain a 4 point gap to Real Madrid at the top of La Liga standings
The Verdict
I'm going to take the view that Barca won't be troubled, the game will drift and under 3.5 cards is a runner.
Bets: Total cards under 3.5 at 23/20 with Sportingbet
Aston Villa 21/10 Draw 27/10 PSG 21/20
Last week's first leg in Paris saw PSG come out on top 3-1. Rogers opened the scoring for Villa late in the first half but PSG were level by half time through Doué. Kvaratskhelia then gave PSG the lead early in the second half and Nuno Medes scored late on.
Villa's passage to the quarters was straight forward as they put Club Brugge away 6-1 on aggregate, winning the first leg 3-1 away from home before finishing the job at Villa Park. Villa avoided the play offs after finishing 8th in the league phase to advance straight to the Ro16. They won 5 of their league matches, the pick of which came at home to Bayern.
Villa are seventh in the EPL standings but its very congested and they are only 2 points behind fourth placed Newcastle.
PSG were involved in a titanic Round of 16 battle with Liverpool which went all the way to penalty kicks. Liverpool won 1-0 in Paris and PSG were 1-0 winners in the second leg at Anfield and then held their nerve in the shoot out.
PSG looked in trouble at one stage in the league phase but they rallied to finish 14th with a record of 4 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats. They won each of their last 3 in the new format to set up a play off with Brest. That proved to be the most one sided of match ups with PSG winning 10-0 on aggregate.
PSG are 21 points clear at the top of Ligue 1, undefeated with 23 wins and 5 draws and they have already clinched the title.
The Verdict
If Villa open the scoring it could get interesting but PSG based on the first leg and their games against Liverpool look a cut above. Villa will surely go for it though and slight preference is for PSG to hit them on the break and win a game of 3 goals or more.
Bets: PSG to win and over 2.5 total goals at 22/10 with Sportingbet (price boost)
