BettingDiaryThere are 3 English Premier League matches taking place on Tuesday and we take look at each of them from a betting angle.

SHEFFIELD UNITED v NEWCASTLE

Sheffield United are bottom of the table with just 2 points in their opening 17 games. They have failed to score in their last 3 matches, all of which have ended in defeats, most recently going down 2-0 away at Crystal Palace. They have taken 1 point from a possible 24 at home this season and their home matches have averaged 2 goals each with Sheffield United conceding 3 goals at home for every 1 scored.

Newcastle are 15th on the log, but are falling down the table having only taken 2 points from the last 15 they have played for, most recently they lost 2-1 at home to Leicester. Newcastle away matches have averaged 2.7 goals each and only 1 of the 7 games would have seen you collect had you been backing over 2.5 goals.

Sheffield United 15/10

Draw 21/10

Newcastle 43/20

Suggested Bet: Newcastle win at 43/20

Newcastle may be in a slump, but I think they will have too much for the Sheffield United team who they beat in both match-ups last season.

BURNLEY v MANCHESTER UNITED

Burnley are 16th on the log and they have won 3 of their last 5 games, most recently beating Sheffield United 1-0 at home. That was their 3rd home win in 7 attempts this season and all 3 of those wins have come in their last 4 home games during which time they are undefeated. Burnley’s home games have been the lowest scoring in the Division, averaging just 1.7 goals each, but 5 of the 7 matches have failed to reach a total of 3 goals.

Manchester United are 2nd on the table on goal difference behind Liverpool, but with a game in hand. They have won 8 and drawn 2 of their last 10 matches and are undefeated on the road after 7 games of 6 wins and a draw. Manchester United away games have averaged 4.6 goals each, the highest in the EPL and all 7 would have delivered for over 2.5 goal backers.

Burnley 6/1

Draw 37/10

Manchester United 9/20

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Manchester United (-1) at 12/10

United have an excellent record away at Burnley having won on their last 4 visits, 3 of those 4 would have seen the (-1) handicap backers collect.

WOLVES v EVERTON

Wolves are currently 13th on the table, but they have only had 2 draws and 2 defeats in their last 4 matches. Their most recent match was a 3-3 away draw at Brighton and prior to that they lost 1-0 away to Manchester United. At home they have won 3 and drawn 3 of 8 fixtures and their home games have averaged just 2.1 goals each.

Everton are 7th on the table after seeing a 4 match winning streak ended with a 1-0 home loss to West Ham. They have one of the better away records in the League with 5 wins and a draw in 8 starts and Everton away matches have averaged 2.4 goals each this season and under 2.5 goal backers would have collected in Everton’s last 3 away games.

Wolves 31/20

Draw 43/20

Everton 41/20

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 27/20

It is not often you get a price like this on over 2.5 goals in the EPL, but it is because both teams have generally been involved in low scoring fixtures of late with the exception of the 3-3 draw at Brighton that Wolves had last time out. There is often goals when these sides meet though and over 2.5 goals would have arrived in the last 4 League meetings and that is enough to see me coming in at this price.
