NETHERLANDS v CZECH REPUBLIC

This match takes place in Budapest.

The Netherlands came through their group in top spot with a 100% record finishing off with a 3-0 win over North Macedonia, having beaten Austria 2-0 and the Ukraine 3-2. They are currently trading at 9/1 to win the Tournament.

The Czech Republic finished 3rd in Group D after ending their campaign with a 1-0 loss to England. They had previously drawn 1-1 to Croatia and a result which ultimately saw them through was a 2-0 win against Scotland in their opener.

Netherlands 7/10

Draw 29/10

Czech Republic 9/2

Suggested Bet: Netherlands win at 7/10

I have been impressed with the Netherlands so far and I don’t think the Czech Republic are going to be able to keep them from scoring.

I was tempted by a few other bets including Over 2.5 goals at 8/10 as well as Netherlands on the Handicap at (-1) which is priced at 7/4. I am going to keep it simple though and going for the straight Netherlands win.

BELGIUM v PORTUGAL

This game takes place in Seville and features two of the favoured teams with Belgium currently trading at 19/2 with Portugal on offer at 14/1.

Belgium were convincing winners of their group, winning all 3 matches beginning with a 3-0 win over Russia then beating Denmark 2-1 when they had to come from behind and finally seeing off Finland with 2 second-half goals.

Portugal came though the “Group of Death” in 3rd place which was enough to see them through to the last 16. Their final game was a 2-2 draw against France and prior to that they were beaten 4-2 by Germany and they hammered Hungary 3-0 in their opener.

Belgium 15/10

Draw 22/10

Portugal 21/10

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 11/10

In the 6 matches these sides played in the group stages, 5 of them would have seen over 2.5 goal backers collect profit and the other game, which was Belgium beating Finland, had 2 goals in it.

Portugal are the sort of side which create plenty of chances, but they also look a bit shaky at the back and I think this could be an action packed last 16 encounter and I am betting that we get 3 goals or more.
