BettingDiaryThe English Premier League weekend gets going on Friday night when Wolves host Leeds and we take a look at the game and suggest a bet.

These sides are locked together in mid-table with Leeds in 11th, 2 points ahead of Wolves in 12th and having played a game less.

Wolves are sliding down the table, but have found their form in their last 3 matches with 2 wins and a draw. Their last game was a 2-1 victory over Southampton away and their last 2 home games have been a draw against Leicester and a win over Arsenal.

They have played 12 games at home this season, winning 4 and drawing 4 and looking at the goal stats of Wolves home games, 5 of the 12 matches would have delivered you a profit had you been backing over 2.5 goals and the matches have averaged 2.3 goals each.

Leeds have been pretty inconsistent, but the stat which probably stands in their favour is that they have only had 2 draws in 23 matches. They have won 3 of their last 5 games, but last time out lost 4-2 at Arsenal and prior to that they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at home.

Leeds have played 12 matches on the road, winning 6 and losing 6 so it really is hit and miss for Leeds on their travels. Leeds away games have been the highest scoring in the Division, averaging 4.2 goals each and a massive 10 of the 12 games have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal punters and 7 of their 12 away matches have seen 4 goals or more scored.

The sides met earlier this season with Wolves winning on the road 1-0.

Wolves 15/10

Draw 47/20

Leeds 39/20

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 17/20

I expect Leeds to continue with the all or nothing approach on the road. Given how high scoring their matches have been this looks a cracking bet especially with Wolves in form and quite likely to score a couple of their own.

For those who prefer a bigger price take the 39/20 over 3.5 goals in the match. Another bet I am looking at for interest is the second-half total goals where 2 or more goals is currently trading at 2/1.
