Betway Premiership action continues on Wednesday and our focus is on the games between and Golden Arrows and Sundowns and then Sekhukhune v Chippa united
Golden Arrows 11/1 Draw 39/10 Sundowns 0.28/1
Arrows went down to an injury time goal away to league leaders Sekhukhune at the weekend, a third straight defeat after they were beaten at home by Kaizer Chiefs (1-0) and away at Polokwane (2-1). That leaves them on 7 points from the same number of matches and they can be found in 11th position in the standings. The bulk of those points were earned in home wins over Magesi (2-1) and Richards Bay (1-0).
Sundowns were 3-1 winners at home to Durban City last time out and they remain on the heels of league leaders Sekhukhune, just 1 point in arrears although they have played 1 game more. They (and Sekhukhune) are the only top flight sides to boast an unbeaten league record, in Downs' case 5 wins and 3 draws. Sundowns have kept clean sheets in 5 of 8 league outings overall but their dropped points all came in away games, at Chippa (1-1), at Kazier Chiefs (0-0) and at Marumo Gallants (1-1).
Verdict
Arrows battled well away to the league leaders at the weekend but fell to a late goal and they face another tough task here. Given that Downs have conceded in their last 2 league games a goal for the home side is totally out of the question and a nibble at both teams to score is my play.
Bet: Both teams to score? (yes) at 19/10 with Betway
Sekhukhune 13/20 Draw 2.35/1 Chippa United 5/1
Sekhukhune's record is most impressive, 6 wins and 1 draw and they are 1 point clear of Sundowns at the top of the log with a game in hand. Bradley Grobler was on target again with the only goal of the game against Arrows at the weekend which came in the third minute of injury time. Their only dropped points this season came in a 1-1 draw at home to Amazulu which is 1 of only 2 league goals they have conceded in a fantastic start to the season. .
Chippa are at the foot of the standings as one of a number of teams with 4 points from 7 matches. Their only win so far came at home to fellow strugglers Orbit Collage (2-1) in their penultimate outing. They had started with a very creditable 1-1 draw at home to Sundowns but they have lost 5 times since then, most recently going down 2-1 away to Polokwane which is the only goal they have scored in 3 road trips.
Verdict
The league leaders left it late to secure maximum points last time out. This is another very winnable game and I'll go with the hosts to find the net at lest twice against a Chippa side who have already shipped 13 goals this season.
Bet: Sekhukhune total goals, over 1.5 at 1.22/1 with Betway
