Betway Premiership action continues on Tuesday when struggling Siwelele take on an Orlando Pirates who have ground to make up in the title race.
Siwelele
Siwelele started the season with an excellent 3-1 home win over Golden Arrows but in 6 league outings since then they have found it tough going, adding just 1 more point to their tally. That point came in a 0-0 draw at home to Richards Bay and even just a quick glance at the stats offers an explanation to their struggles, they haven't scored since the win over Arrows. Since the international break Siwelele have lost both league matches, road trips away to Durban City and Magesi by a 2-0 scoreline to slip into the lower reaches of the early season log.
Orlando Pirates
Pirates return to league action after putting on the after burners on in extra time of the MTN Final against Stellenbosch to run out 3-0 winners and at the weekend they beat Lioli of Lesotho 3-0 in the CAF Champions League.
Pirates haven't played a league game since the 31st August when they coasted to a 3-0 win away to Chippa, their third successive 3 point haul. Prior to that home fixtures against Stellies and Orbit Collage both finished 1-0 in the Bucs favour. Pirates started with a pair of surprise defeats. The opening round saw them go down 1-0 at home to Sekhukhune in Orlando and they were on the wrong end of another shock in their second league game which saw them lose 2-1 at Marumo Gallants. Pirates are in mid table but they have played at least one game fewer than the teams above them and a win here would take them into the top 4.
The Betting:
At the time of writing Betway have Siwelele at 48/10 to win the game with the draw at 24/10 and Pirates are 13/20 favourites.
A game of 3 goals or more in total is priced at 16/10 and it's 15/10 for both teams to score.
Verdict
Pirates must re-focus on the league after a lengthy break from Premiership action and if they do so they can win this game and keep a clean sheet in the process.
