Six more English Premier League matches take place on Sunday and we have a play for each game including Leeds v Man United, Fulham v Liverpool and Man City v Chelsea

Prices quoted are correct at the time of publication but subject to change.

Leeds v Man United

Leeds are unbeaten in their last 6, 4 draws and wins at home to Chelsea and Palace. They drew 0-0 at Liverpool in midweek and with 21 points they finished the previous round 7 clear of the drop zone.

United finished 2025 in the top 6 but they came under fire again after they were held to a draw by Wolves at Old Trafford last time out. They dd beat Newcastle 1-0 in a Boxing Day home fixture and in their most recent road trip they lost 2-1 at Villa.

Leeds have developed a draw habit and a very encouraging one at that as they have had some tough games in their unbeaten run of 6. I’m looking for another draw here in what should be a fiercely contested game.

Bet: Match Result Draw at 5/2 with Betway

Everton v Brentford

Only 5 points separated fifth to fourteenth at the end of the previous round of matches and Everton are right in the middle of the scrum. The squad was stretched but still managed to draw at Burnley and win at Forest in their last 2 matches.

Brentford are also in the same region of the table, 1 point and 1 place below Everton. They have won 2 and drawn 2 of their last 4 league games and on the road they have won at struggling Wolves and West Ham but lost the other 7.

Brentford have yet to draw away from home this season but I’m battling to separate these sides and it could be the way to go.

Bet: Match Result Draw at 9/4 with Betway

Fulham v Liverpool

Fulham are another mid table side in good form. They reeled of wins wins at Burnley, West Ham and at home to Forest prior to Thursday’s 1-1 draw at Palace.

Liverpool frustrated in their 0-0 draw at home to Leeds on New Years Day and although its 7 league games without defeat, 3 draws in that sequence leave them in fourth place and still 12 points behind leaders Arsenal.

That was very average from Liverpool in midweek and although Fulham are missing some key men at AFCON they are in good form results wise.  I’ll go with a fall back option od 2-3 goals in total.

Bet: Multi goals 2-3 at 11/10 with Betway

Newcastle v Crystal Palace

Newcastle were 3-1 winners at Burnley last time out and remain just below half way in the standings, 1 point shy of their opponents here. The bulk of their points have been earned in home games with Liverpool and Arsenal the only teams to win at St. James Park this season.

Palace snapped a 3 match losing streak with their 1-1 draw at home to Fulham. They crashed to a 4-1 defeat at Leeds in their most recent road trip but they have won 5 of 9 on the road earlier in the season

Again I’m looking for 2-3 goals in total here.

Bet: Multi goals 2-3 at 11/10 with Betway

Spurs v Sunderland

Mid table Spurs return to home turf after back to back London derby matches delivered a 1-0 win at Palace followed by a 0-0 draw at Brentford. Home form has been an issue all season with 2 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats in front of their own supporters.

Sunderland are seventh after some heroic performances earned them a 0-0 draw at home to Man City on Thursday. Only 9 of their 29 points have been earned away from home but that includes a win at Chelsea and draws at Palace and Liverpool.

My concern with the visitors is that even though their game against Man City shared the same kick off time as Brentford v Spurs they put in such aa huge effort and now do the travelling, how much is left in the tank? Hopefully enough for Omar Alderete to register a goal.

Bet: Anytime goalscorer Omar Alderete at 16.5/1 with Sportingbet

Man City v Chelsea

Second placed City did everything but score in the 0-0 draw at Sunderland, a result which saw them slip 4 points behind Arsenal in the title race. Prior to that they reeled off 6 straight league wins and the home record comprises of 8 wins and 1 defeat with25 goals scored.

Chelsea parted company with coach Maresca on Thursday and at the time of writing they were in the process of appointing a replacement. They have won just 1 of their last 7 in the league and finished the previous round in fifth spot but now totally detached from the title race.

I’ll go with City to win but with Chelsea contributing to the scoring.

Bet: Man City to win and both teams to score? Yes at 18/10 with Sportingbet

Happy new year to all, wishing you all the best for 2026
