Two more English Premier League matches take place on Sunday, first up Brighton host Crystal Palace after which Liverpool take on Manchester City

Prices quoted are correct at the time of publication but subject to change.

Brighton v Crystal Palace

Brighton have drawn 6 of their last 10 league games and their only win in that sequence came at home to second bottom Burnley. Late goals, either for or against have been a feature of their more recent home games, they are just below half way in the standings, 2 points better off than their opponents here.

Palace drew 1-1 at Forest last week but given they played the whole of the second half against 10 men they might feel it was 2 points dropped. They have taken just 3 points from their last 9 league games, Jorgen Strand Larsen arrived from Wolves this week and Mateta is still a Palace player despite reports he wanted out so team news will be interesting.

It’s hard to have too much confidence in either side right now but there is an edge to this game in terms of local rivalry so it should be lively. Both teams to pick up 2 or more cards is my play.

Bet: Both teams to be awarded 2 plus cards at 11/10 with Sportingbet

Liverpool v Man City

Liverpool ended a run of 5 league games without a win with a 4-1 home victory over Newcastle last weekend. That saw them finish the round in sixth place with Chelsea and Man United in fifth aand fourth and in range. Liverpool have lost just 1 of their last 12 league games (3-2 at Bournemouth) but that sequence is littered with draws.

City were 3-1 winners on the night and 5-1 victors on aggregate in their EFL Cup semi final second leg against Newcastle in midweek. They return to league action with just 1 win in their last 6 (2-0 at home to Wolves, a 2-0 defeat away to Man United and 4 draws) which has seen them losee a little more ground to league leaders Arsenal who are 6 points clear aand at home to Sunderland on Saturday.

City were 3-0 winners at home to Liverpool in the first league meeting, they lost both of the 2024/25 head to heads 2-0 and a season before that both games finished all square.

Liverpool are marginal favourites with the bookmakers but there isn’t much in it and City did get away with resting some first choice players in the cup in midweek. I see scope for goals but the Wirtz price boost for an assist is first choice with a nibble at 2-2 in the correct score market as the back up

Bet: Florian Wirtz 1 or more assists boosted to 5/1 with Sportingbet.

Correct Score 2-2 at 10.5/1 with Sportingbet
