All Cricket Tips w/c 17th November including IND v SA and The Ashes

Amazing win in the first test in India by the Proteas on Sunday. The second test starts in Guwahati on Saturday 22nd November. 

The Ashes also gets underway with the first test in Perth on Friday (early hours) and we will have previews of the test matches in due course.

Elsewhere the local T20 continues and there is more white ball international cricket including NZ v West Indies.

I could be a touch too early but looking around the odds for the 1st Ashes test, especially in the 1st innings top bat and ball markets there doesn't seem to be much value around. Still I'll go with the players I fancy to have a big 1st innings.

Still looking at the betting (both for the series and the 1st test). But I can already say that in most cases I will be looking lower down the order for 1st innings top scorers.

Thanks Couch, I'm leaning England in the first test given Aus are short of a couple of first choice quicks but will stick with the top bat and ball plays.

ASHES OUTRIGHTS

On the bowling side I like Stokes for England. He collected six in an innings in the only warm-up so I feel his odds are a little long. Also, there is no way Woods and Archer play five matches. Starc has five matches at the Perth Stadium and has collected 26 wickets. I think he starts with a five wicket lead on Cummins and Hazlewood. On the runs side Root is a class act and Marnus looks like he is running into some form. Also Marnus likes Perth Stadium with a double century and two centuries in four visits. Taking the 3-2 Australia with a view to covering after four matches -  2-2 would be nice.

I think we have a real shot here if Shukri resists the temptation to play Ngidi. Ngidi is a very good short form player but long spells in test cricket does not suit him. He averages under 3 wickets per test and barely scrapes 12 overs an innings in his 20 tests. Just never been fit enough. First test ever in Guwahati but seems like first two days will assist the quicks. Worth a sniff on the tall guy and maybe a few runs there early on for the batsmen.
