I can't wait for this!

Indeed some drama going in Chris. First Bangladesh being kicked out and now it seems Paki will stay in but will forfeit their game against India.

Bit of a weird draw scenario as well. Top two teams in each Pool go into the Super 8. But here the teams have been pre allocated into either Group X or Y. Not only do the Proteas have the tougher group stage Pool with the Afghans and the Kiwis but for the Super 8 they have also been allocated with India and Aus (shoud we make it there).

Looking forward to some Player Markets coming out shortly.

Pakistan threatening to withdraw from their match against India could have a big effect on the betting of player markets i.e Top Tournament Bat and Top Tournament Bowler as those players will have potentially played one match less than others. What will the situation be should these two teams have to play each other in a semi final or final?

No betting out yet, but fancy Saim Ayub to be top Pak bat with Abhishek Sharma top Tournament bat should Ind get to bat first in at least two of their three remaining matches. England group also not looking too tough making Buttler and Salt big runners in the Top Tournament Bat markets.

100% agree Jacques. I also like Ayob a lot.

Resting of players also usually a bit of a lottery when doing tournament outright bets but I think this is even more important when considering the bowlers - especially the quicks.

England are definitely a team to keep in mind since they will also have an easier Group of 8 imo. As such Adil Rashid is very much on my radar.

A few outrights on the T20 World Cup.

Raja did very well in the local Betway T20 and should play all the Zimbabwe matches.  Motie was impressive in the one game he got for the Windies against us. With the Windies you never know but I would play him every time in India. Mitchell was the second highest run scorer for NZ in their recent 1-4 loss to India so taking on the odds.

Top wicket taker
Windies  Motie  @  9/2
Zimbabwe  Raja  @  5/1

Top run scorer
NZ  Mitchell  @  9/2

Highest innings score in tournament.

Score will probably be set in the early group stages.  Scotland were last in because Bangladesh were thrown out and the lowest ranked team is Italy both of whom are in England's group. Downside in going England is Brooks is inclined to win tosses so he will generally chase because of the dew. Still worth a nibble though

England  @  9/2

Pakistan almost pulled a Paki there earlier - if Dowd held that catch we would surely have started the tournament with a surprise result!

Hetmeyer was on fire for the Windies just now but I went for the bigger price of most fours rather than sixes. Needless to say the lefty wasn't keen on keeping it on the carpet. Thankfully the 2nd last ball went over the rope for my first winner.

Looking forward to the India game with Sharma and hopefully Ishan Kishan coming out all guns blazing. If India bat first I will also look for a price on Tilak Varma to be the top Indian batsman as the books could be looking past him a bit.
