Bit of a damp squib this US Open

Only two Saffa's, 35 guys who have never played in a major with another 15 who have never made the cut in a major. On the plus side - You have to love Shinnecock Hills.

Going to press 2 of my original fancies 

Rory at 18/1 - putting well, needs to get his irons firing 

Harman at 180/1 (Betx) - top 2 in fairways hit, top 10 GIR and not far off in driving distance

Rai at 110/1 (Betx) - handy in round 1 before a bad run but fought back - showed in the PGA he has the temperament, drove it much better yesterday 

Henley, Young Griffon and Rai to win their 2 balls at just over 7/1 - 3 are tie no bet I think and the one has tie quoted but I can't recall which

Impressive from Clark although I was hoping Burns would get up 

Hope the Burns punters had him e/w but very glad Clark hung in there. Amazingly made the place on Niemann after an 11 on a par 4 - some playing by him.

Great calls on Clark and Niemann Vann - no easy feat leading for 4 days

Burns kept me interrested. Rest of picks did well,but never really got up.

Niemans' recovery was something!! 

have backed Burns each-way for every major the last 2 years. i just felt for him on sunday, so close, thought clark would blow it, and probably the most unpopular winner on course i've ever seen, literally one man and his dog clapped, the rest = silence.

well done vann, a great price.
