Hi everyone,
I enjoyed a successful weekend, hitting three overs plays in the Currie Cup, with my only loser being the Stormers at 3/1 to win against the Pumas.
My main bet in the international rugby was Australia over 39.5 points, which was also included in the newsletter, and that came home smoking.
The one I really sweated on, though, was under 69.5 points in the Bulls v New Zealand game. It looked all over a winner after 38 minutes, but a late All Blacks try before halftime meant I just knew I was going to sweat this one out in the second half!In the end, the game landed on 69 points exactly, and I at least came away from a very stressful second-half watch with a profit.
The time for talk amongst the teams is over, and the Greatest Rivalry Tour
gets into the business end of proceedings this week with the 1st test.
South Africa are trading at around +6.5. We'll have a full betting preview up on Goodforthegame early in the week.
There's also Currie Cup Week 6, which is the penultimate round of the group stage. At this point, it looks increasingly possible that the four smaller unions – Griquas, Cheetahs, Pumas and Boland Cavaliers – could occupy all four semifinal spots.
The Currie Cup Week 6 betting blog will be up shortly with a review of last week's action, and I'll be back on Monday with my handicap projections.
There's also another round of the New Zealand NPC to look forward to.Have a good week everyone and I look forward to your thoughts
