URC Round 8, Gallagher Prem, Top 14 + Other Rugby 26-28 Dec was created by Brent Graham

Another mixed bag of a weekend for me and as I am heading away on Friday for a few day and my accounts are all flat I am going to shut up shop betting wise although will still torture myself by posting picks (now is the time to follow

)

looking ahead at top 14 which is priced up.

Bordeaux win @ 19/20

Odds look decent. I’m just a bit worried is this the sort of game French sides don’t put the away effort in over Xmas period? Just seems to me UBB are the better side than Clermont and were able to withdraw key players with 25min to go yesterday as comfortable win, while Clermont lost against a side playing with 14 most game.

Will be interested to hear pablo view.

Hello South,

Quick update regarding UBB: they have four days off this week and will only have one training session on Friday.

cheers that's a great bit of info. on that basis i will sit tight and probably a game i will look at points overs. i tend to fire overs a lot over festive period and it worked out last 2 weekends. i see the 2 x sa urc games postponed which i think makes more sense.

no worries, found the fixtures, was just confused because markets were up briefly on Monday and I had a bet on Stormers. Assume I will get a refund

Actually I'm in Clermont camp, but nothing yet. UBB four days rest and may rotate after 3 tough matches.

I am heading to the bush and scarce signal the next few days so will likely only pop up again before new year.

Blog updated with teams, weather, latest betting, some leans a a few bets

Not getting heavily involved but like Ulster -2.5 and Zebre win 16/10 as my strongest fancies

Cardiff v Dregs 1st up.

Looking at previous results, they tend to be mostly close fought affairs and within the handicap of 13.5 on offer so I'm tempted Dregs plus. However Dregs seem to struggle and dont tend to convert that many opportunities when they are in the red zone.

So unders it is at 50.5 :-o

had been on a 6 from 6 winning run on rugby, all URC, then dip my toes in the gallgher premiership last night only for a hopeless quins side to go scoreless in 2nd half.

Bath over 5.5 tries @ 5/6.

It's amazing how rotten Quin's have become.

Have taken some Zebra plus 4.5 , not massively confident but they're ok at home, they have improved and they should go close.

newcastle go from bad to worse , poor sides sometimes put in good displays away from home but it's a game I will side step for now . Possibly an in running play

Main bet for the mid afternoon games , Edinburgh plus 6.5 , think they'll win it

Plus 9.5 Edinburgh at HT strike plus also the original 6.5 , they looked good but toothless and Glasgow pulls away . In parma , pause the game at 16-16 and was thinking Zebra would at least stay in touch , they were swamped . Nver got involved with anything else , 2/2 losers , not good.

Feel tour pain. Looked at over 8.5 total tries in Bath game but went bath 5.5 instead. I’ve managed to give back all my Friday cricket profits in the 2 premiership games last night/tonight and that tournament will not see my money again for a while.

Another small profit overall for me thanks mainly to the Top 14 French rugby.

I cant see any top division side from any country staying with Toulouse when they are in that form. Fantastic rugby.
