Brevis hasn't set the comp alight but I'm happy to take some 17/1 MOM on him today. 

Pretoria Capitals  v  Mumbai Indians Cape Town

MI have five completed matches and have yet to lead the H2H on 4's. Odds on Rutherford a little long. He is quite capable of a fifty if he gets in with six or so overs left. Has been PC's top bat once already.

The odds on PC of 14/10 for the win are too long if they bat first. PC have lost 2 of 2 batting second but are 3 from 4 batting first.  MI have lost 3 of 4 batting second. Will take that 14/10 if PC bat first.

Paarl Royals  v  Durban Super Giants

Weather good as usual but a ground where boundaries are tough to come by. Best batting conditions with hard new cherry and first up. 0-6 overs first up has produced  52, 66 and 45 runs. Wicket has favored the quicks but I like the Zimbo so smalls on Sikandar

Poor day from Buttler proved costly. 3 from 9 in power play took out that bet and followed with a miserable fielding performance which cost the match and my SG outright 

Sunrisers Eastern Cape  v  Joburg Super Kings

Not much wind forecast today so was thinking 6's but I see books have pushed the line from 10.5 to 13.5. Going to take the 4's line rather -  31 off the 320 runs scored here a few days ago. Stubbs showed a little form last time out and the odds are tasty. Nortje always a class act.

Hard to believe I nearly had a panic attack on the 4's line of 27.5 when 20 were scored by SR's batting first.

Rocks tend to deal more in 4's so taking the odds. Trying to stop picking bowlers but have been doing it since we got sports betting in SA so a hard habit to break

Yeah Brent. Baartman is impressive. See the CSA convener of selectors, Moroney, tried to tell the press they contacted Baartman on 1st January to tell him he did not make the T20 side. Can't believe anyone at CSA has ever worked on New Years Day in their life. Baartman confirmed he was never told anything.

MI need to win with a bonus point and I always feel this is easier on a good wicket.  My sixes line on a good wicket here is 19.5 so taking that. On the basis that we may see 200 plus scores I'm also taking extra's. Jansen and Milne have been good for around 8 per match so need 10 from the other 8 bowlers.

Really odd that Mumbai Indians would prepare a shite wicket and field a weakened side when they could statistically still qualify. It's like giving your fans the finger. Strange

Could rain at the Bull Ring this evening which means Super Kings finish on 19. No idea what Mumbai Indians were doing yesterday. A bonus point win and a straight win at St George's would have put them through.

Durban Super Giants  v  Paarl Royals
Was out  on the MI tactics yesterday but will have another go in Durban.  Super Giants need to win with a bonus point and overturn a run rate deficit. I would go for a difficult wicket. Get Royals batting and score around 130. Would need to make that in 14 overs or less. Means unders on runs or boundaries and I am going
