Midweek Premiership 25 & 26 Aug

Another successful weekend of NH rugby has me looking to the midweek fixtures.

Lots of value will be available as bookies price up with no team news insights. I'll share my predicted caps:

Wasps -2.5 vs Sale
Bristol +1.5 vs Chiefs
Saracens -7.5 vs Gloucester
Leicester -6.5 vs Irish
Warriors +5.5 vs Quins
Saints +0.5 vs Bath

With respect to the above, I'll be eyeing out a Tigers minus as they rested their whole squad over the weekend. They will be targeting a BP win vs Irish.

Slightly off topic but I have taken Bristol to win the Challenge Cup at 4/1.

Can't believe they are 3rd favourites. They will cruise past the Dragons in the quarters.

I guess the fact that they would play a semi final away makes them third favourite but agree the odd is interesting as they would probably play Bordeaux in semi final that will have only played three games since lockdown (if the game against Paris is going ahead as there is a risk it won’t)

I have to rectify here - I did not realise Bristol ended with a better goal average than Bordeaux so 4/1 is definitely juicy

Rebels 5/6 win vs Tahs.

Rebels should have beaten Reds but somehow messed it up time after time. Tahs back to dire old self last week, cannot see them bouncing back.

I tend to agree with the 2H+ here
Weather in Bristol is planned to be wet with heavy wind so this will not help to play fast. For the Wasps game, despite a turnover, Sale bench is stronger than the Wasps one and if they managed to hold in first half, they would probably stay within such handicap, especially as the forecast is not great in Coventry either.
The right play might to take home team margin 1-12, both around 2.6, and go with a smaller play.
I will wait for further bookies to open the odds and post later

Sale is doing a turnover but the bench is better than the Wasps and with the wet forecast, can t see a huge win

Bookies have priced these games up really well.

Sale a stronger side with no Rob du Preez. I like the Sharks bench too.

Taking Wasps 1-12 at 16/10 for smaller but main interest on Sharks plus.

Under 50.5 in Wasps - Sale

Have added Bears -6.5 at 7/10.

Have taken Wasps under 30.5.

They do generally get past the 30 mark in most games but can see a low scoring affair with high winds tonight in Coventry making running tough.

Bath +3.5 2nd half cap @ 9/10. Bench looks loaded.

I'm not an overs punter but this is far too low at Allianz stadium with clear conditions and an early evening kick off.

Also adding over 42.5 in Tigers game but with less confidence.
