Collingwood Magpies vs North Melbourne Kangaroos

The match is played at a neutral venue.

The Magpies have not impressed lately. Although they are sitting on a play-off spot and won a couple of matches in their last three, those wins came against bottom teams.
Last round they were demolished by a play-off competitor, 44-100 to Melbourne Demons, sitting right next to them on the ladder.
The Kangaroos are sitting second from bottom, but they are trying hard to lift themselves up from there. Last round they lost 52-53 to Brisbane Lions, who are second in the standings.

I think Collingwood should bounce back after that ugly defeat and win this just because they have a bit more quality in their team than the Kangaroos. They would have worked on their defence issues too, after conceding 100 points, so it should be a fairly tight low scoring game.

Jiangsu Suning vs Shenzhen

This match is played at a neutral venue.

Jiangsu is coached by Olaroiu who has found success in Asia for several years now, especially in the Gulf Countries. Jiangsu has quality players, both Chinese and foreign, and they are coming into this match after two defeats in a row. They lost to Shanghai Shenua (3rd) and Guangzhou Evergrande (1st). Before that they were undefeated with three wins and one draw. They are now equal 3rd in the standings, with Shanghai Shenua.

Shenzhen defeated Dalian Pro, the rock bottom team, 3-2 in the last round. Before that they had four defeats in a row.

The difference in quality between these two teams is obvious.
Jiangsu should bounce back now, as two defeats in a row is not something that this team is used to.

Black Leopards v Super Sport
I see Clayton Daniels says SS have settled well in the bubble and team spirit is great. He should know as it feels like he has been around for 1/4 of a century. We know that spirit makes a difference in these no-fans matches as thats how Sevilla won the Europa League. Musonda has scored 3 in Leopards two outings since lock-down and they look capable of sneaking one tonight.

A-League Play-offs

Melbourne City vs Western United

Both teams are from Melbourne and the match is played in Sydney.

These two teams played a meaningless game one week ago, with United fielding a second string team, with the big names coming from the bench late in the second half, and City won 3-1.
In the quarter-final, Western Utd beat Brisbane Roar 1-0, showing that they know how to play for a 1-0, despite the fact that in the regular season their matches had many goals.

Western United was in great form after resumption, having won four matches.

After resumption, City beat Sydney 2-0 (Sydney however didn't push anymore, as they were already crowned regular season champions), then drew 2-2 with Adelaide, after leading 2-0.

Western United showed more consistency and great football with Burgess, Berisha and especially Diamantini.
I'm betting them to at least take this game to extra time.

A-League Play-offs

Sydney FC vs Perth Glory

The match is played in Sydney.

These two teams met last year in the Grand Final and Sydney won on penalties.

After resumption Sydney was unrecognizable, winning only one match, 3-1 against Wellington Phoenix, with two very late goals, in the 88th and 90th minutes. Then they drew two matches and lost three.
This situation is similar with what happened in the basketball league a few years ago, when Adelaide 36ers won the regular season with several matches to go, then they lost the remaining matches until the play-offs started, and then they lost in the first round of play-offs, as they were never able to get back to winning form.

Perth qualified to the semifinal defeating Wellington Phoenix 1-0. So they too know how to play for a 1-0, despite the fact that their matches have been high scoring in the regular season.

Popovic (Perth's coach) knows how to play defence, Sydney FC are known for their tight defence, and last year's final between these two teams was 0-0.
Certainly Perth Glory want their revenge for last year's lost final, and Popovic would have come with an appropriate plan.

The Bulldogs are in the fight for a play-off spot and they need to win two more games out of the four remaining. They are sitting 8th on the ladder, the last qualifying spot, and they are chased by a big bunch of teams. They are coming into this match after two consecutive wins.

The Cats are in great good form at the moment. They are on a four-match winning streak, and they beat top teams in this stretch. They are sitting 4th and with a win today they jump to first spot.
They are the highest scoring team in the league, they have the best midfield and the best defence in the competition.

Fremantle Dockers vs Greater Western Sydney Giants

Both teams are outside the play-off zone, but with a win here they can get close. They both have chances to catch the finals, but they must win this.

The Dockers have been playing well at home, picking win after win, with the occasional loss in between, but they are a hard opponent at home.

The Giants lost two in a row, and they are a far cry from the team that played the Grand Final last year.

These two teams don't score a lot, so an under is on the cards too.
