A real battle of a weekend for me with the Reds getting in front too late to challenge the -4.5 Best Bet - I did scrape in with Chiefs +11.5 at least

I went unders in Durban and then tilted but placed the wrong bet (Bears -9.5) which somehow won despite they being 15-0 down. I then followed todays Betting Stig double Dragons and Wasps plus so finished slightly ahead.

There were some great games and the finish of the Reds v Brumbies and the Quins v Wasps were amazing

Onto this weekend where we have the Trans-Tasman Super Rugby starting - below my handicap projections with Thoughts on Sports predictions to the right

Highlanders -4.5 v Reds -4.5
Waratahs +14.5 v Hurricanes +14.5
Crusaders -10.5 v Brumbies -10.5
Rebels +7.5 v Blues +6.5
Force +12.5 v Chiefs +8.5

Only major difference is the Force game and suspect his line will prove to be closer

Here are my projected Caps for the Rainbow Cup

Lions +7.5 v Stormers
Bulls -4.5 v Sharks

There is also some Gallagher Premiership, Pro 14 Rain bow Cup and Varsity action

Some massive caps out. Teams news may be key, not sure if any of teams who played finals last week might rest some. But the bigger caps stand out for a treble as think all will move a bit -

Tahs +25.5
Rebels +18.5
Force +18.5

@ 11/2

Also like Hurricanes as side best likely to get to final vs Saders.

Hurricanes @ 8/1 outright

This tournament is quite interesting in that it’s entirely plausible that a team can go undefeated and not even make the final. It’s possible all five NZ teams could go undefeated, but there are only two finals spot.

What this means is that points differential is going to be hugely important. If an NZ team is up 15 with time up on the clock and they win a penalty, they’re quite likely to kick for the lineout rather than end the game. It also means that the NZ sides are likely to target games against the Waratahs and Force to improve their points differential.

I like the Canes -23.5. I also think the Reds will cover and could win. The Brumbies are good enough to cover, but with PD being crucial, perhaps first half lines are better to look at.

I went on Brive minus, La Rochelle looks like dont need this and named a very strange team with some young faces everywhere. Better XV, better bench, motivation on home side against relegation. Buuut short turnaround they played on the weekend lol.

Needless to say I didn’t stay away for long.

Aaron Smith over the try line passes it to Hugh Renton who subsequently drops the ball over the line.

Suck a fart, the pair of them.

Spewing to lose the cap bet in 81st minute, could see it happening a mile away ffs

Strong on Leicester tigers after seeing the lineups
Main bet Tigers +6.5 @ 1.91
Tigers win @ 2.80

Also like Glasgow in the Pro 14, Edinburgh missing a few key back 5 forwards.
Will hold fire for now though as see they're drifting, which has surprised me a bit

My son plays his 1st game of the season tomorrow (and the way people are talking possibly his last ahead of another lockdown) so won't watch much early nd will take the Aussie plus treble at 6.37/1

Bru +19.5
Reb + 16.5
For +15.5

Went over 27.5 points in the first half. Ends 19-7.
Braydon Ennor thinks he’s playing NFL and attempts to dive through a ruck and loses it.

This is madness.

Been a frantic start to the new comp, did my balls on the Reds plus but managed to claw my way back in the Bath /Sale match last night .
One of my better bets is the Rebels plus against the Blues , it's a bet I would take all day ... The Blues 16 point favourites away from home ... not on your life .
Granted the Rebels are no great shakes , but they have a new coach the former assistant , have had a rest and hoping they'll deliver the bacon.

That Eynor miss just on half time costly as killed Saders ft points bet. Terrible option to try dive over top. Gave back some of midweek footie profits there, frustrating.

Still sitting on this 11/2 treble so may keep interest to just that for now -

Tahs +25.5
Rebels +18.5
Force +18.5

Didn’t watch the game.

50-3.

So that’s a 30 point differential on the handicap.

what's the Loftus pitch like lately? I remember a few weeks ago is looked bloody awful. Tempted to add overs as well to Sharks +4.5 but trying to find some latest pictures of pitch first.

I think the pitch will have bare patches but expect it to be hard underfoot (as long as they don't water it like they did once)

Dragons vs Ospreys

After some bad weather this weekend the surface is still very damp from the downpours they've had and that will make the ball slippery.

Bet 1: Total tries Under 5.5 @1.78
