First big strike for me for the wknd is Toulouse -8.5 vs Wasps in Coventry.

Toulouse are a world class team with a top coach versus a wasps side with 16 players still missing. Toulouse have also had a good rest period due to covid interruptions. Wasps scrum is very weak and they scraped a win vs a Tigers side that were awful in the 2nd half.

The state of the pitch is my only concern as it looked like it was cutting up in the last game but expect the big Toulouse pack to dominate.

I can't get with any bookies who are priced up, but just seen Bulls side and any plus on them looks HUGE value.

Frustrating. By the time the major books price up reckon the Bulls will be -6.5 at least.

Bulls -3.5 @ 17/20 with Hollywood. Hoping this is not a trap bet but has to be taken on sides named.

Big strike for me on Western Province 8/10. Lions named a very young side vs some experience in WP side.

Agree re WP. I may be guilty of betting on based on what's on paper, but really like this treble @ just over 5/1 -

Bulls -3.5
Cheetahs -7.5
WP win

Called Lions my best bet on last night's show, but geez that side is very inexperienced. My neck is out so will have to stick with my call. Haven't put money down on the game yet though and will look at a points play.

Phew, so much sport to get involved with this weekend .

So tonight I made Castres plus 8.5 my best bet pf the weekend , to my horror there is now plus 11.5 available, so I have taken out the mortgage and am lumping on.
Interest nibble on Cardiff plus 7.5.

Onto Saturday, the Tigers plus 2.5 at 4/5. I cannot stand Connacht and it's a team that continues to frustrate me. No egg on my face please. The betting has shifted a little probably due Leicester resting a few players.

Bath on the biggest plus is also worth an interest.

meanwhile in AFCON unders on 2.5 goals has been an early Easter present , it's beautiful to watch and should continue for a few more games at least I'd say.

Was lining the Bloem game up as an unders play, but quote is low and looks like most of the rain will be done by game time so switching to overs.

In the Cape Town game I also like overs even though it's a coastal game. Quote is just too low for a Currie Cup game ayed in good conditions. The ref a bit of a concern for overs though. Apart from overs on total points I like Lions overs aswell. Hoping to get over 23.5, but if I don't get that I'm happy to take over 24.5 aswell.

Over 50.5 points at 17/20 in Bloem and over 55.5 points at 17/20 in Cape Town. Also on the double and will still take Lions overs.

Bulls -3.5 cruises in.

Treble live onto Cheetahs -7.5 and WP win.

Taking Cheetahs over 29.5 @ 10/11. Just seen pictures and commentator said ideal rugby conditions - hope he’s got it right!

Yep Hanrick it’s looking dire so far for any overs punts. Not a good opening 15min.

Stiffer than a giant maglite BG !! Well played South !

Went unders on Wasps for an interest in the end at 50.5 and sweating bullets

Still going for Leicester plus 2.5 , cannot stand Connacht .

Ospreys looking like they're worth a reasonable wager now with cap at plus 11.5

Covered treble stake on Lions +6.5 @ 17/20. A narrow WP win would be nice.

That Wasps game just really hurt me - I had also under 50.5 and it looked safe with 2 mins to go. Then showing no ambition for the bonus point (with the game won), Wasps kick a penalty and the French outfit score 7 from the restart with the clock into the red.

I suppose my pain is somebody else's happiness! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well done South , mixed bags for me but did ok, miracle three tries by Bath helped me and plus on Stade by some miracle too. Never mind the late try by Leicester LOL .
I went for the Lions sadly , awful by them though.

I like Montpellier on the plus today , will play better than their Exeter fiasco.

Ulster I like, Sale I like a lot and Scarlets , plusses all the way for me .

Unlucky on Clermont there. I just lost again on the useless Scarlets to cap off an awful weekend. Its going to take me a long time to get over that Wasps result though Phewwww !

Yes Feck it. Clermont missing the -7.5 blew me out of a 7 leg acca that was big bucks. Damn damn and another damn.
So a modest win weekend for me, mostly on h/caps, and my curry cup acca the only one of 4 accas coming home. 3 others missed by a single score of less than 3 points in each. Would have quadrupled my outlay instead of returning just 40%.
But a win's a win :)
