I noticed we haven't had an NBA thread for a while. I played these for a unit each for tomorrow. NBA lines tend to move very fast unfortunately.

Thanks Doubler for starting this NBA thread. I enjoy betting on the NBA, and hopefully waking up to some winners. Only problem is lately, more and more players are either Questionable or just dont play at all.

Lines move pretty fast if bookies get word on rumored injuries, so I tend to only place my wagers during the evening (SA Time) when we get updates on player news.

No worries Naidoo. I also only ever place bets in the NBA once I check the injury report as it has been so dicey lately with players ruled in and out sometimes even 5mins before tip off.
The bets I took are ones I know of the players playing and projected lineups/expected play time. Hope we have a profitable next few weeks

Adding OKC TT o 122.5 (1.83) for 1 unit. OKC coming off 3 days of rest with a lone home game against a depleted Jazz team before they get back on the road. Expecting OKC to hit 100 by the end of the third qtr.

However, you posted OKC Team Total points as over, not an under, and you said that they should hit 100 by the end of 3rd qtr.

Yeah, I said the OKC TT went under, didn't mean it cashed sorry! Was a slow start by OKC picked it up late but was not good enough. Sorry for the misunderstanding. They ended up with 119pts

Amen Thompson (Rockets) o 21.5 points+rebounds (1.83) for 1u. He has gone way over this number the last 3 games after being slotted into the starting line up. Easily gets to the rim for high-percentage shots and get to the line for FTs
Josh Hart (Knicks) o 15.5 rebounds+assists (1.9) for 1u. Number keeps going up but been hitting these often, been a favourite lately, he's got the perfect matchup against the Nuggets.

Giddey gets the 3 pointer, Williamson gets 5 reb in the third quarter but unfortunately game is a blowout and doesn't sniff the court in the fourth qtr. Nba blowouts are nasty for prop bettors sadly!

Unfortunately this bet got killed by injuries as Duren and Tatum did not play. Instead of paying out at 18/10 the bet won and paid only 11/20.

Pelicans vs Pistons (21:10 SA Time)

Early game tonight is Pelicans vs Pistons and its at a reasonable time for us SA viewers. Pelicans will be without Ingram again tonight and that should mean CJ McCollum facilities the plays for the team.

As long as the Pistons don't bet blown away here, CJ should play all four quarters and his R+A line should be achievable.

Trying something different here. Andrew Wiggins is not a traditional playmaker in the GSW team but I found his assists prop line interesting after some research. This season (small sample size of course) his assists line is 1.5.

In Game 1 he had 2 assists from 6 potential assists
In Game 2 he had 5 assists from 7 potential assists

Based on that low line and him covering 2/2 games this season plus that high number of potential assists, I think he can cover this line again today. Just need his teammates to be clinical with shooting and he should cover this easily.

I was waiting for a bigger sample size of data before getting back to daily bets. Finally have that now and will start posting more bets especially with the NBA Cup starting from tomorrow.

The NBA Cup is an in-season tournament that is more competitive and players play seriously, so easier for betting and rotation mins, etc. This year the tournament group stages run from Nov 12 till Dec 3rd. Every Tuesday and Friday are NBA Cup games, while the other days of the week are standard regular season games. The QFs, SFs and Final of the Cup takes place between Dec 10 to 17.

NBA Monday (Tuesday 03:00am)
Bulls vs Cavs

Josh Giddey is a big role facilitator in this team. Like most of the Bulls guys, his an all rounder and contributes in all departments.

In his ten games this season on an alternate line of 10 Points, 4 Rebounds and 4 assists his covered these lines as follows:

10 Points - 9/10 Games
4 Rebounds - 8/10 Games
4 Assists - 9/10 Games

I like him to cover this once again tonight.
If you can't find these alt lines then playing his over 23.5 PRA at 8/10 is a nice option.

Sorry mate, just saw this, yeah, it's a long season and still trying to get a better read on the teams before indulging on a more frequent basis. A few changes in teams as well and wanted to see how the chemistry and rotations pan out. Will be back into it soon though.

A couple of situational 0.5 unit bets

Kyrie Irving (Mavericks) over33.5 PRA @1.88
Kyrie is on a groove right now, surpassing this number in 6 of the last 8 games. There's also a good chance that the Mavs will be sitting Luka or have him on limited minutes.

Joel Embiid (Sixers) under 39.5 PRA @1.86
Embiid's first game of the season, and even though this number is too low for Embiid, I'm expecting Nick Nurse to ease him into the season and not play him his normal rotation time.

Mavs @ Warriors (NBA Cup)

Thanks Doubler and I agree on the Irving bet. I am also on him tonight but slightly different. With Mavs heading to GSW tonight, I think the team makes Klay Thompson a focal point since his returning to his former team.

I like Irving to be the role player tonight and love his R+A line and odds. His covered this in 6 of his last 8 games this season.

Thanks GGNN, this looks good. Just remember though, just because a player has covered his lines does not mean its always a good bet to take. Match ups are crucial with player props and sometimes a player can have a 100% record but a horrible match up against teams who don't give away a lot of assists per game for example, and if you blindly back that player, you could be in trouble.

Good call on the Kyrie R+A Naidoo. It was mostly a game of trying to force feed the ball to Klay Thompson on his return to his old stomping grounds at GSW. 1-1 on my plays Embiid falling way under is PRA as anticipated but Kyrie couldn't get over his line.

Okay based on Giddey and other guys lack of points, etc tonight, it looks like it could be wise to avoid games straight after the NBA Cup games (so, avoid Wednesday and Saturday games) or take players who did not play big mins in the cup.
