What a win by South Africa in Paris last week. There was plenty of betting support for the Boks and although I steered clear of the result, the under 53.5 arrived. The problem was the bet that anchored many an acca, as well as the newsletter double – was England over 40.5 against Fiji. It was always in trouble, but there was some hope at the end before England chose to end the game rather than entertain the crowd after the hooter.
