There is nothing worse than being on the unders and needing to survive three minutes relying on a team that has already leaked 54 points to retain possession. That was exactly the situation at Wembley last week, and I pretty much knew I was toast when the Japanese started flinging the ball around in the 39th. The inevitable Bok try came, sinking the unders, and capping off what was a poor weekend for me.
We fight on regardless, and there’s a full slate of international rugby this weekend, including the highly anticipated clash between France and South Africa.

We now have team news and points lines, and I fancy a couple of positions that might move. Southpaw in the forum flagged England over 40.5 against Fiji and reckons that line will shift closer to the mid-40s. I also like the under 53.5 in the Boks game, and I think it either stays put or comes down – so it makes sense to get in early.
