The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 30th, 31st May

Last weekend was a strange one for me and the rugby didn’t go particularly well, with the Force letting me down badly against the Drua in Perth.

It ended up being a 9/2 soccer acca that got me out of jail. Pirates did the business without conceding to wrap up the league, Tottenham saved their EPL skin, and I was left needing Lecce to finish the job in Serie A on Sunday night. Thankfully they duly arrived after a first-half goal but it was nerve wracking watching the live score.
It was much needed and pulled me back somewhere close to square for the weekend.

Yesterday started pretty well for me as I landed the Crusaders first-half handicap and also the overs in Reds v Drua. Connacht +12.5 also snuck home, although unfortunately a big cycling bet went belly up to take the gloss off the day.

THE HANDICAP
I was joined by Mossman and Oracle on Thursday night to chat Super Rugby and the URC quarter-finals, and below are some key links and talking points.

WEEKEND PLAYS
At the time of writing we have the 2 Super Rugby Games to come and the 3 URC quarter finals. There is also cycling but I am going to shut up shop until the Tour de France (I think) but overall it looks a quiet betting weekend for me.

A couple of fancies in the Rugby

Motivated Blues to book a home qualifier
If the Blues beat the Chiefs they host the Crusaders next weekend, if they lose they travel to Christchurch. The Chiefs are secure in 2nd spot and while at home they will not lie down I reckon the extra motivation could get the Blues over the line.
This one is off soon but I am backing the Blues to win
1.5 units (1-5) Blues win at 2.12/1 at Pokerbet

Lions unders in Dublin
Leinster are coming off a hiding last week against Bordeaux but although the morale may not be where it normally is I am expecting them to get the job done against the Lions.
The Lions have failed to reach 10 points in their last 2 away trips to Leinster and with some showers possible I am going for the Leinster D to win the day.

2 units (1-5) Lions under 19.5 points at 0.89/1 at Pokerbet

A 7.8/1 treble
There is also the UEFA Champions Cup final tonight which Chris previews here and I will throw that into an ACCA with bets in the Bulls and Stormers games

Under 58.5 points Bulls v Munster at 0.93/1
Over 49.5 points Stormers v Cardiff at 10/11
PSG win at 14/10

Bet: 1 unit (1-5) the treble at 7.85/1 at WSB – here is the code if you want to follow 6920442
