The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 22nd to 24th May
The Bulls let me down badly last week when they started quickly but failed to get the nine tries I needed to land the newsletter bet. I also missed my cycling play, but thankfully the 6.4/1 rugby treble came in nicely to save the weekend.
This week we’ve got some quality rugby to look forward to, with three Super Rugby matches tomorrow as well as tonight’s Challenge Cup Final and tomorrow’s Champions Cup Final. I’ll be watching the latter in a pub alongside a passionate Leinster Rugby supporter, which should add a bit of spice to proceedings.

A footy treble at 4.8/1
Many of the major football leagues around the world also reach their conclusion this weekend and I’m going to have a crack at a multiple focused on teams who still have something meaningful to play for.
Pirates to win and both teams to score NO at 0.71/1
Pirates need to win against Orbit College who are playing to avoid relegation but are awful
Tottenham win at 10/11
Tottenham need to win to guarantee safety and Everton may switch off
Lecce win at 0.78/1
Lecce must win to guarantee they stay up, their opponents are safe

The Handicap
The Mossman joined me on last night’s The Handicap and, if you caught the show live or watched the recording afterwards and followed him in the opening two games, you’re already in the money.
He was on the Crusaders to beat the Chiefs and also tipped the ACT Brumbies -3.5 against the New South Wales Waratahs.
I followed him in on the Crusaders and managed to hedge out of an early Waratahs position, so I’m also ahead for the weekend.

WEEKEND RUGBY PLAYS
Force run riot in Perth
The Western Force will most likely be out of Super Rugby contention by the time this game kicks off, but I’m still expecting a strong performance from them in front of their home fans after what has been a pretty solid season overall.
The Fijian Drua were well beaten by the New South Wales Waratahs at home last week and now travel to Perth, where they’ve lost by 37 and 38 points respectively on their last two visits.
Conditions look ideal and the Force points line has already edged up since I highlighted it on the show last night, so I’m not going to waste any time here. I’m taking Force over 5.5 tries in preference to the over 35.5 points market, as I don’t see penalties playing much of a role.
Bet: 3 units (1–5) – Western Force over 5.5 tries at 1.08/1 at PokerBet.
Rugby treble at 11.63/1
After landing last week’s treble at roughly half the price, I’m back for another swing.
I’m going for Ulster to cause an upset and beat Montpellier at 5/2.
In Super Rugby, I’m looking for 57 points or more in the clash between the Hurricanes and the Highlanders at 0.87/1. The Hurricanes can still secure top spot on the table, while the Highlanders have little left to play for.
Finally, in the Champions Cup Final between Leinster Rugby and Union Bordeaux Bègles, I’m expecting a lower-scoring affair than some of the playoff matches we’ve seen. Finals rugby tends to tighten up and I’m hoping the Leinster defence kicks in.
I’m looking for 54 points or fewer at 0.93/1.
Bet: 1 unit – Rugby treble at 11.63/1 at WSB.
