Winning Form selections for all races from @Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Wednesday 15th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
FOX ON THE RUN produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. He understandably raced green, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Canford Cliffs would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to beat.
OBJET D’ ART made the expected natural improvement when second over 1000m on this course last time. The son of What A Winter is a progressive type and from pole position, he is one of the leading contenders.
DAY IN DAY OUT was not beaten far over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Race 2
FREEDOM FIGHTER ran a good race on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He lost three lengths leaving the start, raced green but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. The son of Vercingetorix returns from a 24-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. If not in need of this outing, he may be the one to beat from a good draw of four.
SLIVER OF SUNSHINE produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. He lost a length leaving the start, raced green but stayed on at the finish. He would have come on from the run and should pose a massive threat.
UMZINGELI WENYATHI returns from a 12-week break, during which time he was gelded. He has finished third in his last three starts. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody tries the blinkers and he cannot be discounted.
Race 3
CHICKASAW finished 0.4 lengths behind CLOUDS CLEARING last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will love the rise to 1600m and in this field, she can shed her maiden tag.
CLOUDS CLEARING ran a decent race when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. The daughter of One World tries the mile and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should fight out the finish.
RED STATE has fair recent form lines to her name. She should have finished closer last time as she was steadied at the 150m mark. With a bit of luck in running, she should be competitive.
Race 4
VIVA LA VIDA followed up her maiden win with a hard fought victory over 1400m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and carries another handy galloping mass of 54kgs. From pole position, she can bring up the hat-trick.
WANDER DUNE ran a good race when second over 1250m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Zoustar is the stable elect with Corne Orffer in the saddle. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
RIKKITIKKITAVI stayed on when fourth over 1250m on this course last time. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and the combination merit healthy respect.
Race 5
ROSA OSIRIA‘S last two starts have been fair. She finished 4.05 lengths behind COUNTRY TIME in her penultimate run. She is 11kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With a bit of luck in running, she can go close.
EASY LIVING was a tad disappointing over this C&D last time. If finding the form of her penultimate outing from pole position, she should pose a threat.
COUNTRY TIME‘S last start is best ignored as the saddle was reported to have slipped in running. She was an easy winner of her penultimate outing over this C&D. With a bit of luck in running, she should be right there at the finish.
Race 6
MAI SENSATION tried hard when second in the Grade 3 Post Merchants last time, but found one too good in the form of I Am Giant. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. The daughter of Rafeef carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and if not in need of the outing, she should give the males a run for their money.
ZIYASHA is better than his last two starts over 1200m. Five of his six career victories have come over this distance. On best form shown, he should be involved at the finish.
KAIBOY won a good race over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He returns from a 14-week break which would have done him the world of good. Apprentice Dezahn Louw takes the 4kgs off his back and he should give a good account of himself.
Race 7
OCTOBER FEST showed signs of needing her comeback run over this C&D. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. The daughter of Master Of My Fate takes a drop in class and with the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw, she can notch up her second-career victory.
EASY MONEY finished 0.75 lengths behind MISS NEW YORK last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She is expected to produce another honest effort.
MISS NEW YORK produced a strong finish when winning her last start over this C&D. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She has cracked a good draw of three and can follow up with another victory.
Race 8
FESTIVAL CHIC was not disgraced when sixth in the Grade 3 Schweppes Diana Stakes last time. Her penultimate run when third over 1000m on this course, catches the eye. She finished third in her only C&D attempt. The daughter of William Longsword may be the one to side with.
ARTISTE stayed on when second over 1000m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She returns from a 16-week break which may have done her the world of good. She won her only attempt over this C&D. If not in need of the run, she should pose a threat.
NORDIC QUEST stayed on when third over 1100m last time. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. She does have to contend with the widest draw, but Aldo Domeyer knows her well and should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
Race 9
GIMMIE RULES is the best bet on the programme. He was unlucky not to have won his last start over this C&D as he did not have a clear run in the closing stages. The son of Gimmethegreenlight was an impressive winner on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He looks to have class about him and if everything goes according to plan in running, he should take a power of beating.
OCTOBER STORM finished 0.05 lengths behind STEADFAST last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
STEADFAST was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1000m on this course. He would have come on from the run and will love the rise in distance. From his good draw of two, he merits obvious consideration
