Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 21st November where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
SOMBREUIL showed speed over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Cheeky Cranberry. She was reported to be fatigued that day. The cheekpieces seem to have done the trick. She is likely to get her own way in front and may be hard to peg back.
ALESIAN BEAU returns from a 24-week break and is having his first run for the Duncan McKenzie stable. He has fair recent Gauteng form lines to his name. If settled into his new surroundings, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
TIMELINE did not go on with the effort over 1200m on this course last time. Her penultimate run when second over 1200m on the turf was encouraging. Kyle Strydom rides for his father Jacques, and the combination cannot be ignored.
RACE 2
BOMBER BAY was slow into stride over 1600m on this course last time, but stayed on to finish fourth. The son of Lancaster Bomber drops to 1400m and the cheekpieces are fitted. He meets the right field and with luck from the widest draw, he can shed his maiden tag.
RED LHASA finished 3.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result. On best form shown, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot in this line-up.
PRICELESS PEARL ran a fair race in his local debut over this C&D. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With luck in running, he would not be a shock winner.
RACE 3
ROYAL KINGDOM is the best bet on the programme. He has won his last two starts with ease, the latest of which was over 1400m on the turf. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will be suited to 1600m. The son of William Longsword is the best-weighted runner and can bring up the hat-trick.
EAST COAST GIRL found one too good in the form of Silva City last time. The daughter of Querari is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. She has scope and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
ABOVE THE HORIZON raced from a handy position over 1400m last time and stayed on to finish third. His last victory came over this C&D. The son of Horizon should produce another honest effort.
RACE 4
PALANCAR followed up his maiden victory with a good third-place finish over 1300m on this course. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. It must be noted that Royal Kingdom has come out and won again since. The son of The United States should have no issues with the rise to 1600m. He jumps from a good draw of four and can notch up his second-career victory.
GOLD GUNNER ran a decent race when fourth over this distance on the turf last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He drops back in class and is one of the leading contenders.
GLOBETONIC found one too good in the form of Royal Kingdom over 1400m on the turf last time. He has cracked a good draw of three and if Yuzae Ramzan is able to switch him off early, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 5
ROMAN AGENT ran on powerfully when second over this distance on the turf last time. He won a good race over 1200m on the turf in his penultimate run. The son of Vercingetorix has won once, finished second five times and third once from eight starts over this distance. He carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and if taking to the polytrack, he may be the one to beat.
GOLDEN PAVILION fought hard for his last victory over this C&D. He ran a cracker when third in the first leg of the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing East Cape Poly Challenge in his penultimate outing. He carries a nice weight of 53kgs and merits healthy respect.
SWEETIE DARLING is better than her last start in the Non-Black Type Cradock Place Stakes. If finding the form of her penultimate outing when second to Direct Hit, she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 6
GALILEO STAR followed up his maiden win with a good third-place finish over 1000m on the turf. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of The United States is the best-weighted runner and if suited to this C&D, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
FRENCH FLAME is the stable companion of the top choice. He raced from a handy position over 1400m last time before getting outrun late by Guy Gibson. His record over this distance is a slight concern, but he cannot be discounted.
TRIPPING THUNDER ran a good race when fourth over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack last time. He is having his first run for the Juan Nel stable and if settled into his new surroundings, he can feature.
RACE 7
SMASHING stayed on when third over 1000m on the turf last time. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Rafeef is the stable elect with Richard Fourie aboard. She can notch up her fifth-career victory.
ALEX MILLER has produced three good runs since arriving in the Eastern Cape. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight drops back to 1200m which may be ideal. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
HAPPY WIVES was an easy winner of her last start over this distance on the turf. She received an eight-pound penalty for that victory. If repeating that effort, she should be involved at the finish.
RACE 8
TRAVEL MASTER was not beaten far when fifth over this C&D last time. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from eight starts over this C&D. The 8yo gelding takes a drop in class and can notch up his eighth-career victory.
NOTORIX finished 1.35 lengths behind RAVILIOUS last time. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Luyolo Mxothwa takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
RAVILIOUS has top recent form lines to his credit. He won a game race over this C&D last time. Kyle Strydom is booked to ride, and the pair merit healthy respect
