Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 31st October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
CLOUDS CLEARING hails from the visiting Justin Snaith stable. She stayed on when third over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The daughter of One World should love the rise to 1800m. She carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs and if all went well with her travels, she should give the males a run for their money.
BOMBER BAY has consistent form lines to his name. He was his own worst enemy last time as he over raced in the early stages and hung inwards in the final 150m. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
OUTBACK EXPRESS should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was switched for running room at the 300m mark. He finished 3.25 lengths behind the second selection, three runs ago. He is 1kg worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.
RACE 2
SILVA CITY ran a good race when third over 1200m on the polytrack last time. She was reported to be not striding out that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. She is the stable elect with Richard Fourie retaining the ride, and she may be the one to beat.
ROYAL CITY GIRL is better than her last start as she was reported to be in season and coughing. It must be noted that Final Try has come out and won again since. The blinkers have been removed and on previous form, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
EAST COAST GIRL followed up her maiden win with a victory over 1600m on the polytrack. The daughter of Querari takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and may be up to the task at hand.
RACE 3
LOTUS SILK has finished second in both her efforts to date. She set the pace over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of White Waters. She was reported to have cast a shoe in running. The daughter of Rafeef is a progressive type. Richard Fourie is likely to use her early gate speed from the widest draw and she may be hard to peg back.
DESERT CLOUD was touched off in her last start over 1200m on the polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.
HEAVENLY MAFIA hails from the visiting Glen Kotzen stable. She has fair form lines to her name. She gets the blinkers fitted which may have the desired effect. She jumps from pole position and cannot be discounted.
RACE 4
KINGDUNDEE has won his last two starts with ease. He showed a good turn of foot over this C&D last time and drew clear of the opposition. The son of The United States returns from an 18-week break. He is a horse loaded with class and can notch up the hat-trick.
CRUISE CONTROL is better than his last start in the Grade 3 Post Merchants at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He has won four times from five starts over this C&D. The 17-week break may have done him the world of good and if not in need of the run, he should be competitive.
ANUSCHKA’S WORLD tried hard when second in the Non-Black Type Cradock Place Stakes last time. He finished 3.25 lengths behind the top choice, four runs ago. He is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
RACE 5
SPORTS FAN was an easy winner of her last start over this C&D. She showed good speed, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. The daughter of What A Winter would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She is a filly with class and should be too good for this field.
DANISH DYNAMITE won a good race over 1100m on the polytrack last time. She finished 1.25 lengths behind the top selection on debut. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
ALESIA’S LOVE ran a good race when third in her local debut over 1200m. She raced from just off the speed and rallied late. The daughter of Vercingetorix will be mowing down the frontrunners and can surprise.
Race 6
DAS GUTE over raced in the early stages of his last start over 1300m on the polytrack, but stayed on to finish fourth. It must be noted that Royal Kingdom has come out and won again since. He finished second in his penultimate outing over this C&D. If Luyolo Mxothwa is able to switch him off early, he can return to winning ways.
COMMANDING has fair recent form in the Western Cape. If all went well with his travels, he should be a big runner with Chad Little retaining the ride.
THUNDER MASTER has finished second in his last four starts. He was running on too late over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that King Rahul has come out and won again since. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can notch up his fourth-career victory.
RACE 7
MY BEST SHOT was an easy winner of his last start in the Non-Black Type Friendly City Stakes. He showed a good turn of foot and drew clear of the opposition. The son of Fire Away won his only attempt over this C&D. He jumps from pole position and should take a power of beating.
HOLDING THUMBS produced a good seasonal debut when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. The son of Vercingetorix may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
PLEASE BE TRUE was touched off in his last start over 1500m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. He carries a handy galloping mass of 52kgs and Muzi Yeni is booked to ride. He tries the 2000m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be involved at the finish.
RACE 8
STRANGE MAGIC was doing her best work late when sixth over 1400m on this course last time. She was reported to be coughing that day. The daughter of Erupt jumps from a good draw of two and Luyolo Mxothwa steps back into the saddle. If not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can return to winning ways.
FLASH LIGHTNING won a good race over 2000m on this course last time. He has won once and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
BLACKBERRY BREEZE finished 1.75 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 2kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result
