RACE 1

It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of What A Winter would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to side with.
AMERICAN MATADOR has fair consistent form lines to his name. The son of The United States would have come on from his last outing and should strip much fitter. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
MAGNUS THE GOOD ran a fair race when fourth in his local debut over 1300m on the polytrack. He is a horse with scope and if jumping on terms, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 2
KING OF VICTORY hails from the visiting Nathan Kotzen stable. He was disappointing in his last outing over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. His previous two starts at Hollywoodbets Greyville were fair. The son of Pathfork should enjoy racing over this distance and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he may be the one to beat.
OUTBACK EXPRESS has improved in his last three starts. He stayed on over this C&D last time. He is carded to race on 01 October 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
LADY PENNY ran on from last when fifth over 1400m on the polytrack last time. She carries another handy galloping mass of 49kgs. The daughter of Querari should enjoy the rise to 2000m and she can place. She is carded to race on 01 October 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be followed.
RACE 3
ACTION AMERICA was his own worst enemy last time as he over raced in the early stages. That was his first outing as a gelding and the blinkers have been quickly removed. His penultimate run when second over this C&D catches the eye. If Chad Little is able to switch him off early, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
BOMBER BAY moved up well over 2000m last time, but found one too good in the form of Global Speak. He finished 0.1 lengths behind AETHELWULF in his penultimate run. He is 1kg better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
AETHELWULF showed improvement when third over this C&D last time. He should have finished closer to the winner as he was eased at the 100m mark. If confirming his recent improvement, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 4
GREEN MANDARIN met a competitive field in the Non-Black Type Friendly City Stakes last time. His form prior to that outing was decent. The 6yo gelding takes a drop back in class and if putting his best foot forward, he can notch up his fifth-career victory.
WINTER EMERALDS was an easy winner of his last start over this distance on the polytrack. He lost a length leaving the start but finished off his race strongly. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
GOLD GUNNER is better than his last start over this distance on the polytrack. He has won once and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. He takes a drop back in class and can finish in the first three.
RACE 5
KING PRAWN fought hard for his victory in the Listed Champion Juvenile Cup over this distance on the polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He returns from a 10-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Master Of My Fate has ability and if not in need of the outing, he can win.
KING‘S RANSOM was touched off in his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is in a good space and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
FINAL TRY was an easy winner of his last start over 1600m on the polytrack. He showed a good turn of foot to get the better of Honorable Member that day. He is not the stable elect, but cannot be discounted.
Race 6
ANOTHERDANCEFORME returns from a well-deserved 13-week break and makes her seasonal debut. She was an impressive winner in the Grade 2 SplashOut Golden Slipper last time. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is a class above this field and despite having to carry top weight, she should keep her unbeaten record intact.
AUGUSTA ROSSO was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this distance on the turf. She has won once and finished second twice from five starts on this track. The daughter of Erik The Red may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
WILD FIG ran on well when winning his maiden over this distance on the polytrack. He returns from an 11-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Fire Away takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should give a good account of himself.
RACE 7
SONG OF MYSELF was super-impressive when winning the Non-Black Type Speedsters Stakes last time. She showed a good turn of foot and drew clear of the opposition. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.
FAIRY KNIGHT finished 3.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. However, SONG OF MYSELF won easier than the official margin suggests and may still have the upper hand.
ROYAL AUSSIE‘S last two starts have been good. He stayed on at the finish in the Non-Black Type Friendly City Stakes last time. He drops to 1200m and the blinkers have been re-fitted. Chad Little is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
RACE 8
JUAN CARLOS is better than his comeback run in the Non-Black Type Friendly City Stakes. He has won three times from four starts over this C&D. The 8yo gelding will strip much fitter and from his good draw of two, he may be the one to side with.
LAINTE MHATH has decent recent form lines to his name. Two of his four career victories have come on this course. He jumps from pole position and is one of the leading contenders.
PAINITE finished 1.1 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand
