Winning Form selections for Fairview on Monday 22nd December where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
BLAME IT ON ME returns from an 11-week break and is having his first run in the Eastern Cape. He was not beaten far in his last start over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. It must be noted that Marcus Aurelius has come out and won again since. If taking to the polytrack, he can shed his maiden tag in this field.
AMANATTO has consistent recent form lines to her name, but she has been costly to follow. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
O SPACE O ran an encouraging race when third in his local debut over this C&D. He would have come on from the outing and should be involved at the finish.
RACE 2
WARRIOR’S EDGE produced a promising debut effort over 1400m on the turf. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. The son of Act Of War would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1600m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he is the horse to beat.
AETHELWULF raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Hollandia Bakkerij. The son of New Predator is a consistent individual and cannot be discounted.
BUGLE is better than his last start over 2200m. He was reported to be fatigued that day. His form prior to that outing was decent and he drops back in trip. The son of Rafeef would not be a shock winner.
RACE 3
ROYAL CITY GIRL was touched off in her last start over 1400m on this course. She rallied late but found one too good in the form of White Waters. The daughter of Royal Mo should have no issues with the rise to 2000m. She should get a good run in transit and can go one better.
CANFORD QUEEN finished 1.75 lengths behind BACK FOR MORE last time. She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She is carded to race on 19 December 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
BACK FOR MORE ran a good race when second over 1900m on this course last time. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and merits obvious consideration. She is carded to race on 19 December 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be followed.
RACE 4
DONNY’S BOY has produced two fair runs since winning his maiden over this C&D. He received a bump leaving the start over 1600m last time and stayed on at the business end. The son of Global View is having his peak run and should be cherry-ripe. In this type of field, he can notch up his second- career victory.
GARDEN SUN was running on after an awkward start over 2200m last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. If jumping on terms, he should be involved at the finish.
ROCK OF FUTURA is better than his last start over 1600m. The son of Futura drops in class and should have no issues with the rise to 2000m. If taking to the polytrack, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 5
FAIRY KNIGHT is the best bet on the programme. He was an easy winner in the Non-Black Type November Stakes last time. He found himself in front, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. The son of Global View has won three times and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. He should get a good run in transit from barrier four and can follow up with another victory.
CRUISE CONTROL was caught late when third over 1000m on the turf last time. He has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. The 6yo gelding is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
CLIFF TOP won a good race in the Non-Black Type Glendore Sprint last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Andrew Fortune is booked to ride and the pair merit healthy respect.
Race 6
STATE SECRET has good recent form lines to her credit. She was running on when second over 1600m on this course last time. The daughter of Act Of War is back in handicap company and may be the one to side with.
BAIE MOOI was running on when second over 1200m on this course last time. The daughter of Canford Cliffs should love the rise to 1400m. She will be at peak fitness and is one of the leading contenders.
MONTELENA stayed on at the finish when fifth over 1200m on this course last time. She finished 2.25 lengths behind the top selection in her penultimate run. She is 6.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
RACE 7
VOLARE E MAMBO should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was switched for running room at the 350m mark. It must be noted that Royal Kingdom has come out and won again since. She is back against her own sex and is having her peak run. From her good draw of four, she can notch up her second-career victory.
HOERIKWAGGO won a good race over this distance on the turf last time. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. If taking to the polytrack, she should fight out the finish.
JAMBO SANA was reported to be not striding out when third over this C&D last time. The daughter of The United States runs well for Calvin Habib and the combination merit healthy respect.
RACE 8
THUNDER MASTER was slow into stride over 1600m on this course last time, but finished off his race well. He finished 1.85 lengths behind PORFIRIO in his penultimate outing. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Chad Little is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
PORFIRIO was an easy winner over 1600m on this course last time. Four of his six career victories have come over this distance. The 7yo gelding merits healthy respect.
CRUZADOR was running on when third over 1300m on this course last time. The removal of the blinkers and tongue-tie seems to have done the trick. With luck in running, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest
