Winning Form selections for Fairview on Tuesday 10th March where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
SPURIOUS hails from the visiting Justin Snaith stable. She should have finished closer to the winner last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. If taking to the polytrack, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
CHAMPAGNE BLAZE finished 1.4 lengths behind LANA VIEW last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today which is enough for the tables to be turned. She will strip much fitter and is one of the leading contenders.
LANA VIEW was unlucky not to have won her last start over this distance on the turf. She has finished second three times and third twice from six starts on this course. S’manga Khumalo is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
RACE 2
BLAME IT ON ME has finished second in his last three starts. He showed speed over 1200m on the turf last time, but found one too good in the form of Honorine’s Gimmie. The son of Potala Palace finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he can shed his maiden tag.
WORLD SOPRANO should have finished closer to the winner last time as the saddle was reported to have slipped in running. The son of One World is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. From his good draw of three, he should pose a threat.
SIXTYZERO was squeezed leaving the start last time and never got into the race. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He is having his first run for the Kelly Mitchley stable and if settled into his new surroundings, he can improve.
RACE 3
GENOVEFA was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1000m on this course. She returns from a well-deserved break which may have done her the world of good. She won her only attempt over this C&D. The daughter of Danon Platina is unbeaten under Luyolo Mxothwa and if not in need of the run, she can keep that record intact.
JAMBO SANA is better than her last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. It must be noted that Lady Bomber has come out and won again since. Four of her six career victories have come over this C&D, and she cannot be discounted.
AMANATTO followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1400m on the turf. She has finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this C&D. With luck from the widest draw, she can feature.
RACE 4
HOPE CHEST was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this C&D. She raced from a handy position, showed a good turn of foot and won going away. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and can follow up with another victory.
HOERIKWAGGO has consistent form lines to her name. She has been over racing over further in her last two starts and drops to 1200m. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
VIRGIN RIVER ran on well when second over this C&D last time. She returns from a 14-week break and with a bit of luck in running, she can go close.
RACE 5
ONE TOO MANY finished 2 lengths behind MASKED VIGILANTE last time. He is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He finished 1 length behind GALILEO STAR in his penultimate run. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. The 7yo gelding is likely to race on the pace and may be hard to peg back.
GALILEO STAR is better than his last start as he was reported to be fatigued and to have choked up. He has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this distance. On his previous form, he should be competitive.
CHOCOLATE BOMB is unbeaten from three starts since arriving in the Eastern Cape. He received a six-pound penalty for his last victory. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
Race 6
PARDON ME was doing his best work late when 3.35 lengths behind Ingqwele last time. His penultimate run when third over this distance on the turf, catches the eye. The 6yo gelding drops back in class and if jumping on terms, he can notch up his second-career victory.
SILENT TRIGGER tried hard when third over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Porfirio and the second horse have come out and won since. He jumps from a good draw of two and is one of the leading contenders.
CADENZA stayed on when fourth over 1300m last time. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will be suited to 1600m. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.
RACE 7
THUNDER MASTER has good recent form lines to his credit. He was slow into stride last time, over raced but finished off his race strongly. The son of Master Of My Fate will love the rise to 1900m. He is drawn in pole position and can notch up his sixth-career victory.
A BIT CHILLY finished 1 length behind the top selection last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
GREEN ISLE stayed on when sixth over 2000m on the turf last time. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts on this course. She is having her peak run today and should give the males a run for their money.
RACE 8
HOLLANDIA BAKKERIJ finished 0.5 lengths behind BLACKBERRY BREEZE last time. He is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Erupt steps up to 2000m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can return to winning ways.
BLACKBERRY BREEZE has consistent form lines to his credit. He raced from a handy position and stayed on to finish third. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and he must be included in all bets.
GLOBAL DRUMBEAT tried hard when third over this C&D last time. The son of Global View runs well for Muzi Yeni. He jumps from a good draw of four and can go close
