Winning Form selections for Fairview on Tuesday 6th January where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
KENTUCKY LASSIE has produced two good runs over this C&D. She stayed on when beaten under a length last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She is a progressive type and from barrier two, she should be the one to beat.
LAYDELAY was unlucky not to have won her last start as the saddle slipped in running. She should have no issues with the drop to 1200m and is one of the leading contenders.
DESERT CLOUD has finished second in her last three starts. She returns from a 10-week break/suspension. If not in need of the run, she should be involved at the finish.
RACE 2
INTRO is having her first run in the Eastern Cape for Trainer Dean Smith. She has fair recent form lines in KwaZulu-Natal. She has finished second once and third once from three starts over this trip. If settled into her new surroundings, she can notch up her first-career victory.
AMANATTO is still a maiden after 15 starts and has been costly to follow recently. She steps back up to 1600m and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
OH MANDY is better than her last start over 2000m. She has finished second twice and third six times from nine starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 3
SUPREME JUDGE ran a good race when third in the Guineas Plate over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Craig Zackey is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome the widest draw and he may be hard to peg back.
BACK FOR MORE was running on when third over 2000m on this course last time. Two of her three career victories have come over this distance. The daughter of Global View should give the males a run for their money.
HOLLANDIA BAKKERIJ was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
RACE 4
PRINCE FLORIAN found betting support when second in his first run in the Eastern Cape. He may have cost himself winning that day as he hung outwards in the closing stages. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. If keeping on a straight line, he can go one better.
PANNING GOLD was touched off in his local debut over 1600m on this course. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.
GOT THE FEVER showed signs of needing her comeback run over this C&D last time. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She can give the males a run for their money.
RACE 5
SPEED RACER set the pace over this C&D last time and found more to hold all challengers at bay. He received a four-pound penalty for that victory. He is in a good space and from his good draw of four, he can follow up with another victory.
GOLDEN PAVILION is the stable companion of the top choice. He is better than his last start in the Non-Black Type Glendore Sprint. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. On previous form, he should be involved at the finish.
AVERNIAN GODDESS found one too good in the form of Baie Mooi last time. She won her only attempt over this C&D. Andrew Fortune retains the ride and she may be the one to spoil the Dean Smith party.
Race 6
SILVA CITY is better than her last start in the Grade 3 Ducat Africa Fillies Mile at Turffontein. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. Andrew Fortune steps back into the saddle, and she can notch up her fourth-career victory.
WISHES AND DREAMS is the stable companion of the top choice. She found one too good in the form of East Coast Girl last time. She should have no issues with the drop to 1300m and is one of the leading contenders.
CALL OF THE KAROO hails from the visiting Glen Kotzen stable. She stayed on when fifth over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. If taking to the polytrack, she would not be a shock winner.
RACE 7
CITY OF DREAMS raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, fought hard but was touched off by Haze And Smoke. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Bavish Soodoo. She will strip much fitter and can go one better. She is carded to race on 2 January 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
IZANAMI finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 4kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
POMEROL followed up her maiden win with a creditable third-place finish over 1400m on this course. She is a filly with scope and should produce another honest effort.
RACE 8
SESAME has produced three decent efforts since winning her maiden over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1900m. If taking to the polytrack surface, she may be the one to beat.
OLIVE OYL was caught late when second over 2000m on this course last time. She was reported to be in season that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. She is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
CANFORD QUEEN ran a good race when second over 2000m on this course last time. She drops back in class and Andrew Fortune is booked to ride. The daughter of Canford Cliffs cannot be discounted
