Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday 26th December where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

KAVADY produced a promising debut effort over 800m at Turffontein. She understandably raced green, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She would have gained from the experience and if not too green around the turn, she may be the one to beat.

BUFFALO KING CODY finished 1.45 lengths behind the top choice on debut. He would have come on from the outing and if all went well with his travels, he should pose a threat.

SMART CHOICE ran a fair race on debut over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The daughter of Erik The Red is the stable elect with Tristan Godden in the saddle. She should make the natural improvement.

Race 2

COCCOLINA ran a good race when third over 1000m on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that Mystic Dancer and the second place finisher have come out and won since. She will strip much fitter and has a good winning chance in this field.

PRIORY TERRACE has fair consistent form lines to her name. She finished 2.2 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

AMERICAN GEM should have finished closer to the winner last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of The United States has scope and with luck in running, she can feature.

Race 3

GOOD OMEN ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. The son of Querari moved up like a winner that day before getting caught late by Double Causeway. The combination of Michael Roberts and Rachel Venniker are in good form. He can go one better.

LIGHT THE FIRE ran a fair race when third over 1200m on this course last time. The son of One World may be ideally suited to this distance. It is encouraging that Cole Dicken is back in the saddle and he would not be a shock winner.

NAVAL OFFICER is an unraced son of The United States from the Gareth van Zyl yard with S’manga Khumalo in the saddle. He does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this field. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrant.

Race 4

SPIRIT OF SHIMLA made the expected natural improvement when second over 1200m on the polytrack last time. She lost a length leaving the start and finished off her race strongly. The daughter of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and will love the rise to the mile. If jumping on terms, she can go one better.

ECHO has fair consistent form lines to her name. She stayed on when third over this distance on the polytrack last time. With luck from the widest draw, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

CHOOKS KISS ran a fair race when fifth over 1400m on the polytrack last time. The daughter of Rafeef is a progressive type and should enjoy the rise to 1600m. She can improve to finish in the placings.

Race 5

GOLDEN RULE won a good race over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Canford Cliffs is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.

ICY BLAST has good recent form lines to his credit. He rallied late when third over 1200m on this course last time. He has won over this distance previously and merits healthy respect.

JULIET TANGO ran a good race when third over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. She carries a light mass of 51.5kgs and would not be a shock winner.

Race 6

LADYOFDISTINCTION won her last start over 1400m on this course narrowly. She was given a peach of a ride by Rachel Venniker that day. The daughter of Vercingetorix has won over this C&D previously. She has class about her and from her good draw of three, she may be the one to beat.

TOMYRIS ran a fair race when fifth in the Listed Betway Summer Pudding Handicap last time. She has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this C&D. Her best form has come under S’manga Khumalo and the combination merit healthy respect.

ICE RAIN is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over this distance on the polytrack. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field, will be mowing down the frontrunners and can bring up the hat-trick.

Race 7

JOHNNY THE THIEF may have cost himself leaving the start last time as he flyjumped. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from six starts over this distance. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw of nine and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Last year’s winner,  IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA was not disgraced when sixth in the Grade 2 Allied Steelrode – Onamission Charity Mile last time. Despite his big mass of 62.5kgs, he can defend his title.

FIELD MARSHAL ran a good race when second in the Non-Black Type Summer Cup Consolation last time. He finished 1.15 lengths behind the top choice, three runs ago. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

Race 8

RAHHABBA was an easy winner of her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She raced from a handy position, showed a good turn of foot and won going away. She received a four-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Vercingetorix is in a good space and with luck in running, she can follow up with another victory.

PROM QUEEN finished 0.4 lengths behind  MRSGLITTERSPARKLES last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

MRSGLITTERSPARKLES set the pace over 1400m on the polytrack last time and found more to hold all challengers at bay. Calvin Habib is likely to adopt the same tactics from the widest draw and she may be hard to peg back.

Race 9

RICCARDO should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was awkwardly placed at the 100m mark. The son of Mambo In Seattle has dropped to a competitive rating and jumps from pole position. Despite his big mass of 63.5kgs, it would be no surprise to see him back in the winner’s enclosure.

SEND ME should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was held up for a run at the 100m mark. He won his only attempt over this C&D. He is carded to race on 19 December 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

SLYTHERIN stayed on when second over this C&D last time. Keagan de Melo is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most
