FANTINE is the best bet on the programme. She has shown improvement in each of her races to date. She lost a length leaving the start over this C&D last time, but stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Hawwaam meets the right field. She is a progressive type and if jumping on terms, she should take a power of beating.
AUTUMN RUSH stayed on at the finish when third over this C&D last time. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Sifisokuhle Bungane retains the ride. She is coming along the right way and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
BLUE DAME was in need of her debut effort over 1000m on this course. The daughter of Futura would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1200m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she can finish in the placings.

CUTIE PATOOTIE produced a decent debut effort over 1000m on this course. She took time to find her feet, but stayed on at the business end. The daughter of Querari would have gained from the experience and will love the step up to 1200m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to side with.
KISSES set the pace over 1600m last time before getting outrun late. Andrew Fortune retains the ride. The drop back to 1200m is a slight concern but in this line-up, she should have a say.
AURELIAN showed good improvement when second over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The daughter of The United States is having her first outing in the Western Cape. She may be at her best over further, but has scope and cannot be discounted.
Race 4
IN MOTION has finished second in his last four starts. He fought hard over 1600m last time, but was touched off by Signor Dante who has come out and won again since. The horses that finished third and fourth that day have also come out and won since. The son of Royal Mo meets the right field and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle, he should be rewarded for consistency.
HONORINE‘S GIMMIE stayed on when fourth over 1200m last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight steps up to 1500m and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
TIME HONORED lacked extra late over 1950m last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Querari can earn another cheque for his patrons.
Race 5
TENANGO showed some signs of needing his seasonal debut when fifth in the Non-Black Type The Bantry Bay Stakes. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Canford Cliffs will strip much fitter and he can notch up his seventh-career victory.
LUCKY LAD is better than his last start in the Grade 2 Betway Joburg Spring Challenge. He returns from a 12-week break which may have done him the world of good. He has finished third over this C&D previously. If not in need of the run, he should fight out the finish.
UN BEL DI has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. Both his career victories have come over this C&D. He carries a handy galloping mass of 52kgs and with the services of Muzi Yeni, he should earn another cheque.

RATTLESNAKE has good recent form lines in Class 4. He raced from a prominent position over 1200m last time before tiring late. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from ten starts over this C&D. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Sifisokuhle Bungane retains the ride, and he can return to winning ways.
CATCH A PENNY produced a strong finish and got up where it matters most to win her last start over this C&D. The cheekpieces did the trick on the daughter of Vercingetorix. She is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.
CAVALRY COMMANDER showed good improvement when second over this C&D last time. He showed good speed and tried hard all the way to the line. If confirming that effort, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

THE NIGHT FERRY is one of the better bets on the card. He should have finished closer last time as he hung outwards in the final 150m. It must be noted that Wehaveasituation has come out and won again since. The son of Twice Over has won over this distance previously. Richard Fourie retains the ride and if keeping on a straight line, he can go one better.
DEVIL A SAINT was running on when third over 1400m on this course last time. The son of Querari has dropped to a competitive rating and is one of the leading contenders.
MELA STRENGTH is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. He won his penultimate outing over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. JP van der Merwe rides and the combination merit obvious consideration.

SILVER SALUTE made the expected natural improvement when second over 1200m last time. She lost a length leaving the start and stayed on at the business end. The daughter of Vercingetorix is a progressive type and will love the rise to the mile. She jumps from a good draw of two and may be the horse to close the meeting.
